The Somme, and the Australian Imperial Force in the Great War

Murielle was not only prompt, a great driver and guide, her knowledge and ability to share it in a friendly and concise manner made it a great day. Her planning of the day was perfect, the structure following the chronological timeline of the events enabled us to absorb a huge amount of information and gain some appreciation of the enormity of the challenges faced by the Allied Forces. Thank you Murielle, we thoroughly enjoyed your company and greatly appreciate the care and consideration you took in the planning of our day.

We had Frederic’s wife Murielle as our tour guide and were extremely impressed. She has an extensive knowledge of the history of the Somme battles and gave us a thorough understanding of the Australian involvement in these conflicts. We felt humbled to visit the battle site and grave of a family member involved in the battle at Morquarts Farm. Frederic was amazing. It was the best experience on our trip so far and will be hard to beat. Everything was explained in a concise and thorough manner. Frederic brought the Australian troops history to life and brought us into their world. We are so proud of our guys who fought for us and will remember them forever. God bless!

This was simply wonderful. Frederic had done incredible research for us about our relative who died near Pozieres. He worked the tour around our interests, and was unfailingly good natured, helpful and incredibly well informed. I cannot recommend him enough.
