Alexandria, the Pearl of the Mediterranean, is a city where history, culture, and breathtaking coastal beauty come together. With its refreshing sea breeze, elegant architecture, and timeless charm, it has inspired travelers for centuries and remains one of Egypt's most beloved destinations. Founded by Alexander the Great, the city became a symbol of knowledge, culture, and civilization, leaving behind a remarkable legacy that can still be seen today. Wander through historic landmarks, admire panoramic sea views, stroll along the famous Corniche, discover hidden streets filled with character, and enjoy authentic cafés and fresh Mediterranean seafood. Every corner of Alexandria tells a unique story waiting to be explored. While two days are only enough to experience a small part of its treasures, they are enough to fall in love with its magical atmosphere and create memories that will inspire you to return again and again..
Day 1: Depart from Cairo in the morning for a scenic three-hour drive to Alexandria, the Pearl of the Mediterranean. Begin your journey at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, one of Egypt's most fascinating Roman burial sites dating back to the 1st century AD. Continue to the Serapeum, once the city's most important temple, before visiting the remarkably preserved Roman Theatre. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the famous Corniche, taking in the refreshing Mediterranean breeze, followed by a delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant. End the day with check-in at your hotel. Day 2: After breakfast and check-out, visit the magnificent Bibliotheca Alexandrina, built near the site of the legendary ancient library. Continue to the newly renovated Greco-Roman Museum, home to an outstanding collection of antiquities. Conclude your tour at the impressive Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, before returning to Cairo with unforgettable memories.
