Hello and Welcome to Costa Rica! My name is Priscilla and I have been working as a Tour Guide for over 10 years. I was born and raised in Limon, most of the touristic places of the province today are areas I went as a child and it will be an honor to take you around. I truly enjoy sharing the beauty, culture, and history of my country with tourists from all over the world. Having a passion for traveling myself, tour guiding plays an important role in my life: I always try to accommodate any request and shape the itinerary based on the actual interests of my clients. I want to make sure I'll deliver a lifetime memory rather than just a tour, taking my travelers into a journey that will combine several points of interest: culture, nature, wildlife, history, urban legends, economy and adventure. Exposing the authenticity of each area, doing something that they will remember in a good way. During my tours, you can expect to see the main highlights (even if crowded at times, there's a reason why they're famous!) as well as some off-the-beaten places. I've learned that there's nothing wrong with stepping away from the typical tourist paths. . . Sometimes a simple "stop the bus" to see a monkey or a sloth along the road, or to get some tropical fruit from a local farmer can really make a big difference. The purpose of my tours will be to make connections between people from different countries and backgrounds throughout the tour. Giving my guest a reason to return or recommend me. Enjoy a true adventure exploring one of the largest rivers we have in Costa Rica and with one of the biggest crocodile populations. Tarcoles is very famous worldwide already thanks to documentaries on Animal Planet and National Geographic and on many YouTube videos, even the late crocodile hunter from Australia, Steve Irwin was in this river. The boats are very comfortable and safe, covered with a rooftop for sun or rain protection. The idea is to sit, keep your cameras ready as the boatman explores the river looking for as many crocodiles as possible. Besides crocodiles, you can see different species of birds that are always around, as Tarcoles River is considered an important bird-watching spot. Iguanas, and the famous Basilisk or Jesus Christ Lizards are around. After the river tour, we will make a visit for shopping at a famous souvenir shop, which belongs to a cooperative of local artisans known for their folk art paintings and wood carvings.
I am speechless. You take off for 2 1/2 years due to Covid and your first trip for us is 10 Stars. Priscilla was absolutely wonderful, professional and made our trip so very special. Superlatives just do not do her ability justice. She is one of your best guides. Treasure her as she is fantastic. The tour was everything and so much more. Priscilla gave us a fantastic crocodile sighting tour. She picked us up at the airport and took us to the river cruise launch point. The transfer was very smooth. She is extremely good at spotting wildlife and she speaks excellent English. She is very personable and likable. We were extremely pleased with everything about the tour.
Priscilla was an excellent guide. She allowed me to view part of Costa Rica in a way that was easiest for me and my limitations. I appreciate her ability to spot birds in the forest and show them to me with a telescope. The boat ride on the river to look for birds and crocodiles also went well. She told me some stories about her country which were very interesting.
- We will meet outside the Pier's main gate and drive 40 minutes to Tarcoles River - During the drive I will show you some of the main attractions of Puntarenas, like a short sightseeing city tour - Once at Tarcoles we will get on the boat for 1. 5 hr. The journey begins exploring different sections of the river looking for crocodiles, birds, lizards and any other wild creature - After the boat tour, we can use the facilities and it's time to drive back to the ship - On our way back we can stop at a famous souvenir shop if you wish - Drop off at pier's main gate *Do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.
