I've always loved nature and showing people the amazing country I was fortunate enough to be born into. My family influenced greatly who I am, not only I became I biologist like my father and an outdoor enthusiast, but I learned how to travel with them. Since I can remember every year we would visit places while doing road trips, camping and making an effort to get the real sense of the places we visited. We would stay in rural accommodations, talk and share time with the locals and go further than the average traveler. In my professional career, while studying birds, amphibians and reptiles all over Colombia, I've become very knowledgeable about our natural environment, history, culture and places we have to offer. The same for my city Medellin, I'm a natural explorer and would love to share with you everything I know of this great place. I'm a Biologist from The University of Valle, Cali- Colombia and a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Tennessee. I've completed the courses and received the certification issued by SENA, Colombia's National Apprenticeship Service, to perform as a tour guide (RNT 80885).

Get immersed in Colombian culture while visiting this small heritage town that is filled with history, beautiful architecture and centuries old traditions. Located 50 miles from Medellin (80 Km) and with a hot weather year round, it has been a prefered "get away from the city" destination for locals during weekends and holidays, who are looking for fruits, delicate jewellry and religious history/art. The laid-back atmosphere of small towns, combined with the breathtaking views of the Cauca Valley and of its surrounding dry forest will be the perfect complement to your visit to Medellin.
After picking you up at your hotel we will head west to Santa Fé de Antioquia. After a 1. 5 hour drive we will arrive the West Suspension Bridge to admire the view of the Cauca river and this national monument built in 1887. Once in the downtown we will start our historical and cultural tour, which includes the main churches, plazas, the market and the filigree shops. We will return to Medellin through the main highway, crossing the Western tunnel, the longest tunnel in Latin America. This itinerary is flexible and can accomodate any of the optional activities.
