Alejandro’s Comuna 13 tour was wonderful! My husband and I had a fantastic experience with him that we won’t soon forget. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Medellín and the amazing transformation that took place over the past 50 years. We loved riding the cable car and the impressive view of the city at the top. Comuna 13 is a little chaotic, so it was helpful to have a guide. I definitely think it was worth it to book a private tour - I can’t imagine trying to hear anything or pass through the narrow streets with a giant group. Highly recommend booking with Alejandro!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Communication with Alejandro in advance of the tour was excellent. He kindly gave us some suggestions about what to do in Medellín the day before we met him for the tour. He made sure to choose a meeting point that was convenient to us, and his instructions for meeting were very clear. The tour itself was great. Alejandro used our trip on the Metro on the way to Comuna 13 to show us some landmarks, and to tell us many interesting things about the history of Medellín and life in the city. In Comuna 13, he highlighted many interesting aspects of the community, and was always very respectful of the people who live there. He is very knowledgeable, and is genuinely interested in the subjects he discusses, which were wide-ranging. Alejandro is kind and professional, and has a good sense of humour. He speaks English excellently, and was always willing to answer our many questions. I recommend a tour with Alejandro, without hesitation.

We are a family of four, plus two friends, and we loved this diverse and immersive walking tour with Alejandro Franco. Alejandro's English is excellent as is his knowledge of Medellin's history, particularly Comunal 13. It was fun taking various forms of public transportation, walking through the lively and colorful Comunal 13 and taking a deep dive into the transformation that has occurred in the area.
