I've always loved nature and showing people the amazing country I was fortunate enough to be born into. My family influenced greatly who I am, not only I became I biologist like my father and an outdoor enthusiast, but I learned how to travel with them. Since I can remember every year we would visit places while doing road trips, camping and making an effort to get the real sense of the places we visited. We would stay in rural accommodations, talk and share time with the locals and go further than the average traveler. In my professional career, while studying birds, amphibians and reptiles all over Colombia, I've become very knowledgeable about our natural environment, history, culture and places we have to offer. The same for my city Medellin, I'm a natural explorer and would love to share with you everything I know of this great place. I'm a Biologist from The University of Valle, Cali- Colombia and a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Tennessee. I've completed the courses and received the certification issued by SENA, Colombia's National Apprenticeship Service, to perform as a tour guide (RNT 80885).

Once a small town, Medellin has transformed over the last hundred years into a vibrant city where positive and negative aspects have shaped its landscape as well as its inhabitants. Explore the history of this city through the downtown landmarks while you get a feeling of the local culture and experience how public investment and urban innovation allowed the rapid change to overcome the violent times and provide different opportunities for its people.
Pick up at your hotel and walk or take a cab to the nearest metro station. In the downtown area we will visit the old train station and the monument to the race in the administrative center "Alpujarra". Later we will go to the lights park and walk through the oldest street in town "Carabobo", now a pedestrian way, towards Botero square, where 23 sculptures by Colombian artist Fernando Botero are displayed. We will walk to the Bolivar park and have lunch in one of the traditional restaurants nearby. If you want we can stop by a local handicraft market where lovely bags and souvenirs can be found. We will get on the metro again heading the cable car of comuna 13, after which we will take a cab to the escalators and the street art of this area. We will finish with a cab ride back to the hotel.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
