Ashley was the perfect fit for our family. We have twin 17 year old boys who love to travel but as they get older pin pointing what teens will find interesting and fun becomes a bit more challenging. Well Ashley nailed it! We had the right balance of history, architectural information, snacks, wandering, and great conversation filling in cool information and insight about HK in the past and present. She offered us additional suggestions for visiting while we had some down time and those also proved to be awesome. We feel fortunate to have had time with Ashley. She truly set the tone for our kids first visit and my husband and my opportunity to introduce a city we have enjoyed over the years.

Ashley is an exceptional tour guide. She is knowledgeable of all things Hong Kong. She quickly found out what are interests were and quickly headed that way. We could spend a week with her and it would all be worth it. Highly recommend her to first timers or repeat travelers.

Ashley was simply amazing! We rate tours on three aspects - sites visited during the tour, guide's knowledge of the sites, and logistics of getting us to and from the sites. Ashley hit a home run on all three categories. Further, Ashley's handling of logistics was probably the BEST of any tour we have had in over 30 years of traveling. We were in Hong Kong overnight. We used Ashley's Tram and Treats tour for our second day in Hong Kong. Please see our review of her Big Buddha tour for our day 1 activities. Since we planned to see major tourist sites during day 1, the focus for day 2 was to leverage Ashley's knowledge of the cuisine scene to step outside the box to try local Hong Kong food and experience the city from a walking viewpoint. Thus we did no prior customization for the tour. Ashley took her experience with us from eating dim sum on day 1 to tailor where she would take us on day 2. (You might want to have some discussions with her about your eating preferences prior to the tour.) She adjusted our meeting time for day 2 to allow some time after breakfast AND to adjust her pickup time so that when we walked to the Star Ferry we arrived about 2 minutes prior to the ferry leaving. She showed us the building that was used in one of the Batman movies (The Dark Knight). She walked us through a local supermarket used by the residents in the the high rise apartments. It reminded us of an upper end supermarket in the States. Ashley took us along part of the Central pedestrian footbridges connecting the high rise buildings. We walked for about a kilometer without ever stopping for traffic. To us, it was a maze. To the residents, it was familiar paths through the sky. Walking was pleasant because of the breeze in the open air sections and air conditioning when in buildings. Rather than having to walk up steps as the city climbed to the mountain, Ashley guided us to an escalator / moving walkway system that climbed the slope. While the total distance covered is almost a kilometer, Ashley took us between the various places where she wanted us to sample the food. While there was one not-to-our-liking item, we also had some amazing food. The stand out items in our mind were the bbq pork soup dumplings, shrimp toast, French Toast, and the Peking Duck (that we had the night before based on her restaurant recommendation). Ashley took us sight seeing in the city - the old police complex, an open-air wet market, new buildings, and a city overview from the 46th observation floor of the Central Plaza building. Sites seen - a mix of old and new coexisting and flowing together as only a long term resident could navigate and present so seamlessly. Knowledge - extensive - food, buildings, walkways, history Logistics - Outstanding: hit the ferry 2x as it was about to leave, leveraged the walkways, moving sidewalks, and ding ding to assist us in moving through the city and during day 1 Tour with her!

Ashley is a dream!! Don’t hesitate to book any tour with her. This was a perfect way to spent our first half day in HK and Ashley quickly made us feel like locals. Ate amazing food in off the beaten path places and got tons of recommendations for future days.

Ashley is a great tour guide. She is a story teller who makes the everyday life of the city come alive and the city’s history easy to understand. The food stops we made were wonderful. Loved the tea house for breakfast, the egg tart and the pan fried buns could not have been better. She showed us so much in the little time we had and we came away knowing we will look her up the next time we find ourselves in Hong Kong.

Ashley is a knowledgeable guide with great communication skills. One outstanding quality is her flexibility. A couple of days before the tour we decided at a car might be a wise option, and Ashley made it happen. She also suggested lunch, rather than a food tour. We agreed and went to the Luxe Garden restaurant. She ordered an assortment of Cantonese dishes--it was an incredible meal. Then it was off to Auntie Sweet for dessert – her recommendation was a dark chocolate shaved ice concoction filled with cookies and ice cream. Unique and delicious. I especially enjoyed her commentary on Hong Kong from Victoria Peak. Ashley is a fun and engaging guide who tailors her tour to your interests. I highly recommend her.
