We will be taking public transport (MTR, tram and Star Ferry) on the tour and I would therefore suggest that you purchase Octopus cards for your stay in Hong Kong. They cost $150 HKD each ($50 deposit, $100 credit) but as they are the easiest way to get around, I think they are invaluable. They are available from any MTR station and I can help you with this should you need. You can also use them in most shops and outlets as a form of payment as well.
