Hello, everyone. I am Conrad - one of Ottawa's most experienced tour guides (over 500 tours with TBL), certainly Ottawa's most reviewed guide. As a home-town boy who has lived here for over 60 years, I can say I am known for clear and correct knowledge of the history of Ottawa and environs. My family has roots here going back over 120 years. Since graduating from the University of Ottawa (BA Hon, History, '78) I have been giving tours for groups, individuals, and for travel companies. Overview of your Ottawa tour
A tour designed for the photographer who wants to get the best pictures in the shortest time. As a seasoned photographer, I have scouted out the best venues, angles, and vantage points for all of the hot spots in Ottawa. If you don't have the luxury of time to chase down the best spots, let me take you there! I have photographed in all seasons and in all light conditions! This tour can be customized to take advantage of light conditions (early morning, night, whatever). We can also do a few hours early and a couple more later in the day. Of course you will also get the running commentary guided tour of the city as we go between sites.

I spent an extremely productive day with Conrad. He has extensive knowledge of great photo spots and the history of Ottawa. He is very courteous and helpful and goes out of the way to make things happen for the client in order that great photo opportunities arise through out the day. He picked me up at 5 am so that we would be on time for a sunrise ! And he is willing to go the extra mile to make superb photos happen. It was an excellent day spent taking photos to my heart's content with timely pointers

Conrad was totally awesome. He picked us up at our hotel and showed us the highlights of Ottowa. After that we drove about 60 miles out of Ottawa to Parc Omega, where it was a bit snowy, and visited the most wonderful wildlife park we have ever encountered. There, we fed carrots to the foxes, elk, deer, wolves, wild pigs, coyotes,and other wild animals who live there. We went through 5 big bags of carrots before we finished our tour. It was the highlight of our Canadian Christmas. Thanks, Conrad!

Your Ottawa tour itinerary
Not necessarily in this order: . Parliament Hill, with all of the sight lines toward Parliament. . Nepean Point, for a commanding view of Parliament, the Ottawa River, and north towards Gatineau . The Byward Market . The plaza of the Museum of History . Rideau Hall . Notre Dame Bascilica . Chaudiere Falls, where depending on the time of year you will see a roaring cataract or a gentle flow. . Assorted walkways, byways, and hidden paths . If you want nature pictures, we can go to the Mer Bleu or Mud Lake conservation areas. . The best flower pictures are at the Ornamental Gardens of the Experimental Farm.
