Moving to Jasper 33 years ago as the figure skating coach completely changed my life. I fell in love immediately with the park and it's unbelievable beauty and magnificent nature. I dreamed of being a hiking guide as soon as I heard that there was such a profession. I made that dream come true 28 years ago when I became a Certified Hiking Guide with the Association of Canadian Mountains Guides. I have travelled the planet for hiking and climbing and have been on trekking adventures to Nepal 7 times. I have climbed in China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Laos, India, Indonsia, Australia, Kenya, South Africa, Morroco, Ethiopia, Spain, Greece, Cuba, Colombia Peru, Argentina, United States and Jordon! I still find the Canadian Rockies very magical. I have guided many travelers from all over the world sharing my passion and knowledge of all the pure spaces that I have discovered. I believe that the pure spaces of nature are very powerful and that connecting with these spaces can be very nourishing for the soul. I always allow time for my guests sit in silence and really connect with themselves and the pristine places we explore. I believe in the importance of "leave no trace" practices in nature. I am always fostering an appreciation and understanding of ecosystems and the interconnectedness of all living beings. Being a Certified Yoga Teacher and meditation practitioner allows me to bring the body, mind, and spirit aspect to your hike if desired. I’ve been living, exploring, and guiding in Banff National Park for over 30 years, and I know these mountains, lakes, and forests like the back of my hand. Along our quiet trails, I’ll share stories, insights, and little moments from my years here—some wildlife feels like old friends, and I love noticing the subtle signs of life around us. We’ll visit stunning, iconic viewpoints of lakes and glaciers that will take your breath away, pause to reflect or journal, and savor the magic of the Rockies at a pace that feels just right. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with more than memories—you’ll leave with a real connection to this incredible landscape.
Day 1 Meet at the Lodge on Bow Lake and hike along the lakeshore of the most stunning turquiose lake that you can imagine. If we arrive early enough we can see the reflection of the mountains in the lake which breathtaking. We can go to a gorgeous canyon to get out standing views of theBow Glacier. If you still feel up for more we can do a second hike to the Bow Summit. Day 2 There are alot of possibilities such as Iceline Trail, Icefields Trio or Sentinel Pass. 8:30 am start is best for wildlife opportunities!
