I am an accomplished outdoor enthusiast and world traveller who has explored much of Canada, Asia, South America, Central America and New Zealand. At 25ish countries and counting I am always looking for new adventures and new people to share adventures with, whether it be by road or on foot. With more than 20 years of experience here in the Canadian Rockies I have a passion for the mountains and like nothing more than sharing that passion with others. I practice Leave No Trace ethics and it is my goal to foster a better appreciation and understanding of our natural environment by connecting people to the history and the landscape. My good nature and sense of humour make me an easy travelling companion on long and short trips alike. I am certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, the Interpretive Guides Association and the Outdoor Council of Canada. I also have an Advanced Wilderness First Aid Certification. Business Licences and Proof of Commercial Liability Insurance for all advertised Activities and Tour areas are available. I am continuously adding to my skills, experience and knowledge. For any and all trips I put the safety and enjoyment of my guests first. Transportation is included and recommendations can be made about local dining, accommodations, other activities and facilities. Requests for larger groups can be accommodated. Please bear with me as I am often away from internet and cell reception. I look forward to connecting with you as soon as possible. Travel along one of Canadas most beautiful roads with glaciers, lakes and towering peaks all around. There are many short stops along this route providing ample photographic opportunities and we often see wildlife of all types. You will have the option to ride the Ice Explorer bus out onto the Athabasca Glacier or visit the Glacier Skywalk perched 900' above the Sunwapta Valley. (Seasonally available May 6 - Oct. 9) Helicopter Tours are available for those seeking the best views and most exclusive option. Please let me know when booking if these activities interest you. A picnic lunch is recommended for this tour as dining options are limited but beautiful viewpoints are numerous! Lunches can be provided. Please inquire when booking.
I will meet you at your hotel for a safety briefing and we will review and sign waivers before departing for the Icefields Parkway. Along this route there are many short stops and incredible views too numerous to list. Ask about detailed itineraries. You may choose to include the Ice Explorer which will take you out on to the Athabasca Glacier or the Glacier Skywalk, a glass floored walkway suspended over 900 feet above the Sunwapta Valley. (Please allow two hours for each attraction. ) Optionally you may choose to omit these attractions and instead take a 30 minute walk to the Toe of the Glacier. *Helicopter Tours are available for an additional fee. From the Icefields Center we will return to your hotel the way we came. **This tour can be used to travel between Banff/Lake Louise and Jasper. If you are continuing to Jasper we will also see Tangle Falls, Athabasca Falls, Sunwapta Falls and more. Please inquire about Jasper Tours before booking. A picnic lunch is ideal on this tour
