G'day, my name is Simon and I was born and grew up in Sydney - a true local! Come on a journey with me to discover the famous harbour panoramas and iconic sites that Sydney has to offer and garner a deeper understanding of its unique and interesting history. Hear about our Aboriginal heritage, colonial past and multicultural society. I have over 50 years of local knowledge and will convey many stories and anecdotes outlining how our society and culture have evolved over that time. I am new to ToursByLocals but have been a Sydney ecotourism guide for over 4 years. I can cater for up 10 travellers and use a spacious 12-seat 2024 Toyota Hiace vehicle on all my tours. Ideally, your visit to Sydney would be a 4-7 day adventure but for those with limited time I would recommend: 1. either a Half Day Sydney City Highlights tour or the Best of Sydney in a Day and a 2. Blue Mountains & Kangaroo/Koala Experience These tours will cover the essentials and offer great memories from your time in Sydney. Of course, each group is unique, having different interests and tour expectations. All my tours are customisable, so please feel free to ask questions about locations or activities that may interest you. For CRUISE VISITORS, I can offer you shore excursions with time flexible schedules. Pick up and drop off at your ship's port terminal or agreed location. Great introduction to Sydney tour with Simon! He’s knowledgeable and understandably proud of his city, professional and friendly as a guide, and highly recommended. Very safe, roomy, comfortable vehicle, and Simon was very flexible with our itinerary and schedule. He took us to a great spot for our lunch break and even surprised us with tasty Australian pastries mid-morning, it’s a great tour, he’s a great guy!

Our guide Simon Rowley- Bates was the best. We went all over the city and so much more. The lunch at the iceberg was fabulous. It was such a nice place. He even found a grocery store to pick up some Tim Tams and a wine store. Made many extra stops and took nice pictures of the whole group Thank you so much for making our day so special!

As a general itinerary, the day begins as we make our way to the historic Rocks district, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Opera House foreshores. We then journey to the Botanical Gardens, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair, and the ever-evolving suburbs of Woolloomooloo and Kings Cross. Following the harbour, we venture through the city's eastern bays out to South Head and iconic Bondi Beach for a water-view lunch (at your own expense). From Bondi, we take a leisurely stroll along the beautiful coastline. We return to the city via fashionable Oxford Street, Paddington with our final destination at Darling Harbour. *** Please note that I am able to accommodate private groups of up to 10 passengers.
