Hi, my name is Rohan and I am a Melburnian by birth (I originate from Melbourne) who happens to have lived in Sydney for the past 39 years. I now call Sydney home and therefore a Sydneysider! I have a Degree in Business Studies majoring in Hotel Management and Tourism and have worked in the hospitality and tourism industry my whole working life. For the last 16 years I have been blessed with the constant buzz of enjoyment that comes from guiding and introducing visitors to all the captivating aspects of Sydney's daily life. As an inner-city resident who loves exploring the streets by foot, I have acquired a great understanding of where it's happening in Sydney and what's hot and what's not. Couple that with an extensive knowledge of interesting historical facts and figures about Sydney life and I am your walking-talking-guiding concierge! I have been very fortunate to have travelled extensively in my own country and around the world and intend to keep doing so for as long as I'm capable! As a seasoned traveller, I understand the desire of a visitor to quickly grasp 'the feel' of a new city; to seek out the real sightseeing highlights and find out where the locals are eating, drinking and shopping. What is my idea of the perfect day? It would start with a bike ride to Bondi Beach, a morning ocean swim followed by a strong coffee and then guiding visitors through the pleasures and treasures of Sydney life. To finish the day, a meal in a local eatery accompanied by a glass of Hunter Valley Semillon or Shiraz, followed by an evening walk through a local inner city neighbourhood to see what's new and exciting. With an obligatory stop at a gelato bar! My tour offerings include a walking tour through some of the city's inner city precincts, offering personalised suggestions for further sightseeing and dining options for the duration of your stay in Sydney. If it is the gorgeous natural beauty and breathtaking architecture of Sydney that interests you (think the Opera House, think Sydney's spectacular harbour, think Bondi Beach), then my Scintillating Sydney tour is for you. You can choose from either my half-day, four-hour tour or my full-day tour option. If you would prefer an introduction to some of Sydney's hip inner-city neighbourhoods and their happening food and drink scene, then my five-hour Fabulous food tour could be enticing. This tour includes opportunities to visit small businesses and providores and sample the artisanal food and drink products that have made them hugely popular with locals. Further afield, there are wonderful full day tours to either the naturally captivating Northern beaches, the beautiful Blue Mountains, the Hunter Valley wine country, or the Coastal and Hinterland regions south of Sydney to choose from. For visitors who are captivated by our unique wildlife but short on time, I offer a quick tour to our famous Australian Reptile Park. You will have ample time to admire an array of amazing Aussie animals and reptiles and then be back in Sydney and free to explore on your own again by lunchtime. For avid sports fans, you can even experience our unique Australian football competition! From March to August each year I offer a tour opportunity to enjoy a live Aussie Rules football game and get up close and personal with Aussie footballers, rather than Aussie animals! Are you inspired by world heritage-listed mountainous scenery with breathtaking canyons and waterfalls? I am, so join me on my full-day tour of the beautiful Blue Mountains and adjoining hinterland. Learn about the Blue Mountains' history, its quaint villages that we pass through on the way to stunning lookouts and walking tracks throughout the various National Parks. There will be interesting bush walks to traverse with great photo opportunities of canyons and waterfalls that can be reached while on those walks. Lunch might be either a picnic with breathtaking views over a valley, at a local cafe or restaurant in one of the lovely Blue Mountain villages where time can also be spent strolling amongst their eclectic shops. We drive a circular route of the Blue Mountains to give you a greater overview and discover more of its hidden secrets like the village of Bilpin, famous for its orchards and homemade apple pies. By tours end you will have witnessed our own Grand Canyon, just full of native trees!
Our Blue Mountains tour was wonderful. Rohan was superbly knowledgeable and also expertly routed us away from more touristy areas and focused on getting us to the most spectacular vistas. He tailored the trip to our needs, including a minor foot injury one of us experienced earlier in the trip. On a future outing I would look forward to a bush walk or two! We highly recommend Rohan as a guide to all of you adventurers out there.
The weather wasn’t cooperating but Rohan still found us beautiful views. Took us to have pies and cider. He was a wonderful host
We had such a great tour of the Blue Mountains with Rohan. He was extremely pleasant to be with and was so knowledge about the history and sites of the Blue Mountains. This tour is not just one stop and then return to Sydney. Rohan took us through the countryside, stopping along the way to have a wonderful treat as well as a nice lunch while viewing the spectacular sites. He took us to viewing spots with incredible views that most tourists miss. He even allowed us to spend a few minutes shopping in a small town. His tour was everything we had hoped for and more. When booking a tour of the Blue Mountains, we would highly recommend having Rohan be your guide. We know you will not be disappointed.
For all cruise ship passengers this is a GREAT tour. From the beginning to the end Rohan was able to ensure that we had the best experience possible. As cruise ship passengers, being back on time is everything. Rohan did that to the exact minute. His timing for the entire day was perfect. He took us to all of the amazing sites and explained it completely. His van was very clean and comfortable. We did more at less cost than the ship's tour and in greater comfort.
Rohan is a very knowledgeable guide and planned an itinerary that included many beautiful locations and hikes while avoiding the crowds. We had a wonderful day! Would highly recommend Rohan as a guide.
Rohan H, was one of the best tour guides we have ever had, We had a great day and loved finally seeing the Blue Mountains, Rohan knew so much about the mountains . One of our tour group has a problem walking and it never became a Rohan picked areas where we all could enjoy and manage. We would highly recommend that anyone that is considering a day tour to the mountains hire Rohan H. The apple pie was wonderful. We did not visit Featherdale as we had been there.
07:00-08:00: Meet at your hotel, cruise ship terminal or agreed on meeting point in the city. 07:00-08:00 to 10:30-11:30: Drive from Sydney* into the Blue Mountains with a stop at Bilpin apple and stone fruit orchard region, and Pierces Pass lookout, for some great bushwalking opportunities and views. * Optional 1-hour stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park can be arranged to see koalas, kangaroos and other unique wildlife on the way to the mountains. Please feel free to discuss at time of booking however please be aware it is always a busy stop with many other tour charters. 10:30-11:30 to 12:30-13:30: Drive to the villages of either Blackheath or Katoomba for a lunch break. 12:30-13:30 to 15:00-16:00: Visit more key sightseeing lookouts and/or bush walking destinations such as Govetts Leap Lookout, Katoomba Falls and the Three Sisters and Wentworth Falls. 15:00-16:00 to 17:00-18:00: Return drive to Sydney. 17:00 to 1800: Arrive at your hotel, cruise ship terminal or agreed on meeting point in the city.
