Is this work? Sure, but I'm cheating, for nothing brings me more joy than sharing the beauty and secrets of my country with visitors. Hi! Xoán here (that's pronounced like 'Séan' but with a little twist). I'm a geographer with a solid academic background and licensed official guide. I'm fluent in several languages, from my native Galician to English, with a bit of an Irish (Corkonian!) accent. So I'm crazy about culture, geography, nature, history and stories. Oh yes indeed, I love telling stories about how things were and how things are, trying to make sense of everything around us in the process, and answering all the questions you may have. Actually, I always try my best to give people a passionate but real experience when visiting a place, "living it" as a local would do. Full disclosure: I'm a teetotaler, so I might not be your best option for wine tours ;) Licensed official guide (Heritage Guide). Who knew that we were able to stand on the exact spot where Christopher Columbus picked out the Santa Maria (even though that wasn't the original name) and learning about every town center has a purpose to the area....Also the highlight for my husband was...

We toured Vigo and Pontevedra with Xoan P and had a great day! Xoan is very knowledgeable but does not overwhelm you with too many historical facts. He really wants you to know the city and the culture, and when the tour ended we felt he accomplished his mission! He is a great conversationalist and kept us entertained throughout the tour. If we get back to the area...
