Camino de Santiago, Experience the Way of St. James

Join me for this spiritual experience from Vigo to Redondela and walk the Coastal Portuguese Way to Santiago de Compostela on one of the 9 recognized routes. By walking these trails you will experience what to be a pilgrim means. You will learn about the origins of the Camino, the way to accomplish it, how to get to the "Compostela" and which are the symbols while walking this path. The route crosses part of the city and gets into a green forest and rural area with amazing views over the estuary. In the end, we will arrive at Redondela, where the Portuguese and the Coastal Portuguese ways join. Redondela is a vibrant town, receiving pilgrims during Camino peak season where we will summarize emotions and experiences and enjoy a well-deserved break. It's not necessarily a religious route, as it was recognized as the first European Cultural Itinerary. So come with me and sense the sounds of nature, feel the positive spirit, and learn about the history of this unique experience.

The tour will begin at the agreed location. My suggested starting point is a Camino milestone: the one in front of the passengers port of Vigo (Mojón Camino de Santiago on Google Maps). We will cross the city, walking up and following the Camino itinerary, getting into a flat rural area. After 16 km walking (about 4 hours, but depending on your pace) we will walk down arriving to Redondela. For the way back to Vigo, I will assist you to arrange a taxi/private van, and accompany you on your way back to the city. The client will decide the arrival point according with his/her preferences. Please, ask me. - the profile of the path includes: 4 km walking up, 8 flat km, and 3 km walking down - you will need comfortable clothes, used shoes (adapted to your feet). Depending on the weather you may need a hat and sunscreen or a raincoat and waterproof shoes.
