My background is in the restaurant industry, and I worked for an American restaurant called Hard Rock Cafe as a general manager at the Tokyo and Osaka branches for around 20 years. I came back to my hometown Nagasaki 5 years ago and realized how beautiful it truly is. Nagasaki was the only place where trading with China and the Dutch was allowed during Japan's isolation period over 200 years from the 17th century to the 19th century, so the legacy of mixed cultures is very interesting to see here. Additionally, Nagasaki was the second place where an atomic bomb struck, so exploring relics will help you gain deeper thoughts about peace for the future. I'm an expert in guiding places that are not so touristy. Even at famous tourist spots, I always try to guide visitors to areas where typical city tours don’t visit.
