Sawaddee Ka! My name is Peach. I am a licensed tour guide base in Bangkok. I grew up in many places all over Thailand so all the experiences about the culture, virtue, traditions and people of all those places have been absorbed in me and groomed me up to be myself today. A lot of people have asked me why I wanted to be a tour guide: since I started travelling, I realized that having a good tour guide makes the experience of the trip a lot more memorable and meaningful. So I thought I wanted to be a tour guide myself to make sure that the people travelling to my area can certainly have a wonderful time. A place can be beautiful but it will have no meaning to the visitors if nobody is there to tell its stories. A lot of simple things in unfamiliar culture wouldn't reflect clearly the way of life of the local people when there is no story teller to share the experience with. I wanted to be the person who makes a great difference by telling all the stories that I have known all my life to the world so that my guests can listen how we have grown as a long history country, full of culture and life. I am always excited to show my country! I love wearing traditional Thai dresses especially when I do a tour as I think it's beautiful. So I would like my travelers to see how Thais dressed in the past. I am proud to be Thai. I also would like to show it to you. I have been a guide for more than 10 years now. However, I still feel like it was yesterday that I just started working for the first time. I always wake up in the morning and excited to go to work because I know that every day I will share my knowledge, have fun with my tour group and be a part of their amazing days in Thailand. So if any vegetarians would like to join the tour, not many restaurants are suitable for you. All dishes will be cooked with fish sauce. I very much enjoyed my time with Peaches. I was particularly grateful for her insights on Thai culture. We hit the highlights on both street food and family restaurants so I could experience dishes that were new to me. Peaches is insightful and knowledgeable on all topics.
Amazing experience of authentic Thai street food. Peach, our local guide met us at a pre arranged site to fit in with our hotel. We then spent 5 hours experiencing Thai street food in a way we would never of been able to do ourselves. We visited local stalls and old established restaurants. We tried food that again we wouldn't necessarily choose but were very pleased we did. There was a lots of history and culture mixed in too. Would highly recommend. Swift family (London England)
Highly recommend this tour with Peach. She is a fun & entertaining guide who knows a lot about Thai food. She had a great evening planned for us & really added to the cultural experience by describing how to eat the different foods & explore all the different flavors. Peach gave us easy instructions on how to take the train & even at the end of the night made sure we got back on the right train! A professional in every way! We did 2 tours with Peach and both were exceptional! A really fun night in Bangkok
Peach was a brilliant guide- personality, knowledge and genuinely lovely. We felt welcomed and informed. The tour was brilliant- eating at places we wouldn't otherwise have decided to go: all street food sellers that have been established for over 50 years. The duck was especially brilliant! We even had a vegetarian in our group, who Peach did her best to find options for, although clearly the meat eaters got the best experience!!! Thanks again- we would highly recommend this tour and Peach as guide!
5:30 pm: Meet at the BTS Saphan Taksin Station. After getting to know each other, we will walk together to Yannawa Temple and learn about its interesting history. Cruising past a Chinese temple and a mosque to learn how all the different religions live together peacefully. Then it's time to enjoy food in a local food stall that has been open for business for a long time. After the stomach is full, we will take a Tuk Tuk to a Flower Market to see how unique the market is. We will end the tour by enjoying the view over the Chaopraya River which Thai people believe is a river of kings at a rooftop bar. Then the Tuk Tuk can drop you off at Sanamchai MRT station. Please Note: Some of the dishes might not have a seated area to eat. So you will learn how Thais can enjoy our food in any situation.
