I am passionate about our beautiful, quirky, historic city and its famous river. I'm a Native Texan and a downtowner for 40 years - come with me to discover surprising secrets, scandalous stories, hidden art, vibrant murals, and handsome architectural details that will enrich your visit to San Antonio. The urban environment rewards those with a keen eye who are curious and appreciate what many never see, tend to overlook, or know very little about - this is the San Antonio you will experience on my satisfyingly real tours. One of my greatest pleasures is sharing San Antonio and enabling others to experience its charming peculiarities from a local perspective. Everyone on my tour receives a list of my recommended places to eat - all locally owned and all places where the real people go. Also, I can adapt and create tours for larger groups via bus or van, if desired. Please join me - I look forward to meeting you. Overview of your San Antonio tour

Let me share with you my most favorite murals on this downtown walkabout. Over 25 murals - each a delightful surprise. Some murals are tucked away and frequently overlooked - others are large scale murals spray-painted by local and international graffiti artists. Their exuberant use of color, design, and subject matter have added artistic energy to the city center. Howard Cook's mural painted during the Depression is one of the largest and most beautiful in the federal inventory. And Venezuelan Arturo Herrera's boldly colored, abstract mural overlooking Main Plaza is a pleasure both day and night. Get off the tourist track and join me on this memorable downtown San Antonio experience.

Bruce Martin was an outstanding tour guide. My group absolutely loved the tour and it was because of Bruce. He is extremely knowledgeable and made the history come to life. What a treasure you have in Bruce. I will recommend him to anyone asking for a guide in San Antonio. I'm sorry we didn't have more time to use his services further - we just ran out of time. Thank you for your recommendation. We had a great time!

We reached out to Bruce for a private tour of the city. My mom wanted to learn all the history of San Antonio but is blind so had limitations in walking. Bruce was better than I had hoped for. He has endless knowledge of the city and took us to unseen treasures. He even sent us some recommendations for hotels and restaurants which were a hit. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing tour. Thank you Bruce!

Bruce Martin exceeded all expectations. He was knowledgeable and worked exceptionally well with our tour group and our driver delivering unique perspectives on not only UNESCO Missions but also on San Antonio past and present.

At the heart of San Antonio, a city famous for the iconic Alamo and its charming riverside walk, are expressive murals of local culture, political activism and personalities, history, and humor. Our guide, Bruce, showed genuine knowledge and enthusiasm about the art, and shared both with us. Thanks to him, we count this tour as a high point in our trip to San Antonio. Encore on our next trip.

Bruce was amazing. He was flexible and early to our meeting place. He had maps, photos, and a little surprise, we won't ruin it by giving it away. His extensive knowledge was unparalleled. There wasn't a question he didn't know the answer to. He never once made us nervous with his driving. He listened to our desires of sites and then exceeded them. We would highly recommend Bruce to anyone coming to SA. At the end he dropped us off at our car with a list of his own personal restaurant recommendations.
