Born in 1952, I am a retired teacher of earth science and digital graphics. As of 2019 I have been a resident of Haines for twelve years. I have been a naturalist all of my life, and have enjoyed being a tour guide for over a decade. My passions include photography and local history. Photography encourages me to explore and absorb the environment, see the world from an artistic perspective, and strive to do justice to God's handiwork in the world. Local history helps to put the cultural landscape into a larger relevant context. In my retirement I have chosen to be a local guide for the joy of sharing the beauty and bounty of my neighborhood with visitors and guests. I also enjoy watching people smile, and hopefully making them laugh. Retired teacher, photographer and author with a Masters degree in Education. Local photography tour guide and naturalist for over ten years. Superintendent of Judges in the Photography division of the Southeast Alaska State Fair. Licensed and insured. None
