Overview of your Izmir tour
Discover Ephesus and Pamukkale, two of the world's most spectacular heritage sites. Ephesus is a brilliantly preserved ancient city rich in biblical history, where the Virgin Mary is believed to have lived with Saint John. It was also home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. As we walk these historic streets, I will bring the past to life using my firsthand knowledge from participating directly in the archaeological excavations here. We will also journey to Pamukkale, the famous "Cotton Castle." Located in the scenic Meander Valley, this natural wonder features stunning white travertine terraces and thermal hot springs right alongside the ancient ruins of Hierapolis. Cultural Crafts & Shopping Insight: Our day includes brief stops at traditional local workshops to highlight authentic Turkish craftsmanship. Hosts will display products for sale. This is standard in local commerce; there is absolutely no requirement to buy.

Amazing guide! Highly recommend. He was one of the best guides if not the best guide we have had. Extremely knowledgeable. He was also very flexible, was able to suggest the optimal itinerary and help with transport. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys (15 and 18). He was very engaging and we learned from him. Ilker was an awesome guide! He was very knowledge,explained very nicely and was funny too! We were 19 of us and mostly vegetarian and he arranged very good lunch for all us. Our friend was a little under weather and he helped us finding doctor and was very patient with us as we were a is group with kids. I will definitely recommend him to all my friends.
Your Izmir tour itinerary
-Firstly we will be visiting Ephesus ancient city and a stop at Terrace Houses as a separate museum inside it and the next place will be Virgin Mary's house where she is believed to have lived. -After that, a must-see place is the Temple of Artemis. For a detailed Cristian Heritage, the visit will be Saint John's Church. -Then we will be driving to Pamukkale / Hierapolis ancient city and drive back to the original location.
