Your Salamanca tour itinerary
Start you private trip from Salamanca. Ciudad Rodrigo will be our first stop (1 hour). This impressive fortified town is just by the border with Portugal. You'll see its medieval walls and Cathedral. Its strategic relevance was key to Spain's history, specially during the War of Independence with Napoleon. After time for lunch we'll go to Portugal. Almeida and its star-shaped fortress will leave you in awe. The houses are all painted in white, and some keep the traditional tiles on the façades. After visiting Almeida, we will return to Salamanca (about 2 hours)
