Trujillo Full-Day Archaeological Tour

My husband and I had a full-day tour of Trujillo with Carmen, and it was wonderful! She had contacted me before the tour to give me specific instructions about where to meet, and then took us to the Moche Museum. It was a Monday when the museum was supposed to be closed, but she was able to get us into the museum, and we were the only ones there. Then we went to the Moche Temples and were able to scoot through the large crowds from our cruise ship. We went to Chan Chan and were able to do the same thing. We couldn't go to Huanchaco beach because of construction, but Carmen gave us a tour of the main plaza in Trujillo instead. It was a fabulous day.

Wonderful tour for those interested in pre Columbia civilizations and ruins. Carmen is very knowledgeable and provided the perfect amount of information to gain an understanding of the Moche and Chimú cultures. Our only issue is the a/c in the car did not work properly making a bit uncomfortable getting from site to site.

Carmen was amazing. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the local area but also the wider region and country and beyond the borders. She was responsive in her communication, reliable and on time, efficient in her planning and still allowed plenty of time for questions and reflection. She was also really fun. She customized an intinerary for our day to match my interests as we toured the Temple of the Moon, Chan Chan and saw the fascinating reed fishing boats in Huanchaco. Highly recommended.

Excellent Guide !! Carmen has a good knowledge of the local culture and her English is excellent.
