Culture and Gastronomy in Trujillo

Luis was an excellent guide! We loved our tour with him, he gave us an excellent tour of Chan-Chan. There was not many people there which made it so much more enjoyable, it was a fantastic site to explore. Following this he took us to a delightful restaurant in Huanchaco for a ceviche and pisco sour preparation demonstration - it was delicious! Thank you Luis!

We had a very good tour with Luis. His knowledge of Chan Chan and other ancient civilizations is enhanced by his brother's career in archeology. While traveling Luis told us about Peru and answered questions we had about the people, political climate, religious practices etc. The gastronomy portion of the tour showed us how Ceviche and Pisco Sours are made and provided us a nice lunch. Luis was patient with one member of our group who had difficulty walking on uneven surfaces. I would hire Luis again.

Louis is a very good guide who speaks English well. Our tour began at Chan Chan, where his knowledge brought the ruins to life. Moving on to a beach area, we enjoyed an exclusive pisco sour demo and ceviche-making session, both quite tasty. At the local market, Louis showed us aa the diverse array of fruits and veggies before taking us to lunch where we experienced local flavors. He answered our questions, shared local insights and listened to our requests. Highly recommend Louis

Luis is very energetic and spoke very good English. He took us to a good viewing spot to see the geoglyphs in Arica and a viewing area that no big buses can go. The ceviche demonstration by a chef followed by tastings is a highlight. People also enjoyed watching and the making and downing of Pisco Sour. We also enjoyed learning about the reed boats and saw a family making one and sailing in the ocean. We visited the mummy museum and saw the mummies 3000 years older than the Egyptian mummies.
