Enjoy a day tour to the amazing lake side township of Tekapo, in the Mackenzie country. My tour is flexible and you can travel at your pace Pick up & drop off from your hotel, Enjoy the ever changing vistas on the way to Tekapo Visit Geraldine, Fairlie, Burkes Pass and Tekapo with multiple photo stops along the way.

Your Christchurch tour itinerary

Standard itinerary: Christchurch to Tekapo Approximately 3hours From Christchurch travel across the farmlands of the Canterbury plains. Optional stops: Geraldine at the Barkers Food Store (Morning Tea) or Fairlie Bakehouse - Both great stops to get a meat pie if you never have tried this great New Zealand snack! Picture stop at Fairlie Lookout Drive through Burkes Pass with amazing views. Visit the Lupin Fields and take some amazing pictures (Season dependant) Spend time in Tekapo at the Church of the Good Sheppard and stand next to Mackenzie's Dog. Walk down to the lake shore and admire the beautiful colours of the lake. Enjoy lunch in the township in one of the many café / restaurants. Or opt for a picnic lunch on the lake shore. Optional: Visit to the Dark Sky Reserve Return at your pace back to Christchurch with photo stops
