Lord of the Rings - Full Day Tour to Edoras (Mt. Sunday)

We appreciated Scotty's help and flexibility. Due to the low clouds and rain, we decided to change up the day. He was willing to take us to Mt Sunday, but the views would not have been good, so we headed to Crown Hill and Arthur's Pass National Park. Both were wonderful places to visit and we could enjoy them in the rain. He has a wealth of information and we learned so much from him. We are ready to come back to the South Island and use him for multi day tours. He has so much to offer. I would highly recommend him as a guide!

Great day with personable, knowledgeable Scotty! Drove from Christchurch to Mount Sunday along the Inland Scenic route. Hiked to top of Mount Sunday with stunning views all along the way. Finished with a quick tour through Christchurch. An informative, fun day with eye popping scenery.

Scotty was a great guide. He answered all questions we had and shared some interesting insights. We travelled in a very comfortable van with room to stretch. Scotty had us even stop at a local supermarket to pick up our favorite foods, then brought us to a scenic spot to have a picknick with an amazing view. In addition, we had enough time to wander around, hike to the top of Mt Sunday and enjoy a 360 view. None of the big bus tours provided that experience.

We were a party of six arriving via of a cruise ship. Scotty met us promptly at the pre-arranged pickup point. We spent a short time in Christchurch but primarily drove a couple of hours through the Canterbury Plains to the Southern Alps. Along the way Scotty provided us with history of the area and pointed out many highlights. We had a picnic lunch near Mt Sunday at the base of the So. Alps, it was a stunning setting. It was enjoyable to spend the day with Scotty and would recommend.
