Hey there! My name is Lauren and I moved to The Hague in 2025 from Nashville, TN, USA. I have absolutely fallen in love with this city and wanted to learn more about it. I already had a passion for history and showing/sharing information with others, so leading tours was a natural fit! When not working from home, I am cycling, going to dinner with friends, or walking the beautiful streets of The Hague to take in the atmosphere. I work from home as an HR Consultant and have two very "helpful" coworkers - a hairless cat named Neville and a furry cat named Albus. They are my babies and I will gladly show you pictures! I am so excited to share my city with others. I hope that you will love The Hague just as much as I do by the end of our tour and want to come back! The Hague has so much history in the foundation of The Netherlands, the royal family, and WWII German occupation. Come see the beautiful architecture, historic charm, and stories that helped shape the founding of the Kingdom of The Netherlands!

We'll start at the statue of William the First, Prince of Orange and Father of the Fatherlands to get an overview of the Dutch Royal family and the history of the House of Orange. Did you know that the House of Orange has been in the Netherlands since the 1200s? After setting our Royal foundation, we make our way to Lange Voorhout, the Dutch equivalent to the Ton in London. This is where the who's who of the day would promenade. Along this tree-covered avenue are several former royal palaces. Are they any grander than the surrounding houses? From Lange Voorhout, we'll see Kneurerdijk Palace and Noordeinde Palace. Who lived there? What did they think of the palace? What are they used for today? Where do the royals live now?
We will meet at the Plein at the statue of William of Orange. Option to meet you at the Centraal Station. - Lange Voorhout area to see former palaces - Escher in the Palace and House Huguetan - Palace Kneuterdijk - Palace Noordeinde and adjacent gardens - Royal stables - Optional - extension to Huis ten Bosch Palace
