Kevin was an amazing tour guide. He met us at our hotel and we decided what we wanted to do with him for the day. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He offered to take our picture at several sites. We toured around The Hague seeing he Peace Palace and the World Peace Flame and pathway. We rode the tram to Delft where Kevin took us to a quaint candy store still operating and treated us to a before lunch candy. Kevin joined us for a wonderful lunch at Stads-Koffyhuis on a canal garden patio. We walked around Delft with Kevin telling us the history of Delft, showing us the Markt Centre, the Delft City Hall, the Nieuwee Kerk, the Maria van Jessekerk and later the Oude Kerk. Kevin also took us to see a mosaic of Delft on a wall off of the City Centre. It was visualized and organized by mosaic artist, Nan Deardorff-McClain, an American who lives in Delft. It consists of 45 panels and was completed in 2020. We rode the tram back to our hotel where Kevin showed us how to take the tram to the ocean later that day which we did. The 5 hour tour went very quickly. We enjoyed getting to know Kevin and sharing some of our stories with him. He was most gracious and respectful of our wants and needs.
