Discover the beauty Holland has to offer, without all the crowds. During this walking tour I will take you trough Delft. Founded in 1246 and an important city for Dutch history. Why is the Royal Family buried here? How did Vermeer live in this city? What major important invention was done by someone from Delft? You will learn everything and more during this walk. Delft is also one of the most picturesque places in the Netherlands with cosy squares, many canals and 2 medieval gothic churches. We will also stroll past remnants of the city wall, a windmill and many nice cafes. And why do a tour with me here? I lived in this town from when I was a 5-year-old toddler until my 23rd birthday: Lower school, high school and university (where I did physics). So I can really bring you the local experience and tell you something about the quirky student traditions of this university town.
My tours are flexible and it is always possible to make some changes in the itinerary. - Start of tour at the central square (Delft trains station or a hotel in Delft is also possible) - New Church (14th century) - Vermeer Centre Delft - City Hall (17th century) - Old church (13th century) - Windmill - Prinsenhof (former monastery turned museum) - Gemeenlandshuis (oldest house of Delft, now houses the water management) - Oude Delft canal - Oostpoort (last remaing city gate of Delft) - Klaeuwshofje (hidden courtyard) - End at starting point Ask for a quote if you also want to add a visit to the Royal Delft Blue Pottery museum or a walk over the university campus of the TU Delft.

I can pick you up anywhere in Delft city center, like Delft station. the Royal Delft Blue Pottery or your hotel. My ideal starting point would be at Standbeeld van Hugo de Groot at the central Markt in Delft.
