Hallo! After graduating from TU Delft, I decided that I did not want to work as an engineer. Instead, I now guide people around in my own country, why not... My only unfulfilled wish is to guide you around! If you want a young, knowledgeable guide to show you around our most beautiful cities, look no further. Originally, I am from Rotterdam, and I have lived in Delft for many years, so you can call me a real local in South-Holland – That’s the most interesting part of the Netherlands anyway. Currently, I am running a tour company that I started in 2023. It was more of a hobby that got out of hand. By now, I work together with a large team of young, passionate guides that can guide anywhere in Holland. With a personal interest in history, politics and art, I am fully equipped to show you around our most interesting destinations. I very much enjoy telling stories to those interested to learn more about our history, culture and society. And even though I am quite good with exact years, I do like to keep it engaging too (i.e. not boring). Curious to find out for yourself? Get in touch with me and book a tour. I am available for private tours in The Hague, Delft, Rotterdam, Gouda and Leiden. Any combination is possible, and I am very flexible to adjust the tour to your preferences. On request, we can also visit museums, churches or other attractions in and around these destinations. Tot ziens, Robin - Fluent in English, Dutch and German - In possession of a car and boat driver’s license - Flexible itineraries possible, including museum visits - Knowledge of Dutch history and culture - Passionate storyteller

Discover Delft and Gouda on a full-day tour. You will get to know two beautiful historical cities that both played a major role in Dutch history. First up, you'll visit Delft, a picturesque town full of centuries-old facades, squares, churches and canals. Discover the city of Johannes Vermeer, known for its Delft Blue pottery, the final resting place of the Orange family, and its top-rated Technical University. We'll visit its famous Delft Blue Museum/factory and have lunch. First up is Gouda, with its charming town hall, fascinating weighing house and impressive church. You will explore the old city center first, and your guide will tell you all about it. Then, of course, you will get to taste and learn about Gouda's most famous product: Gouda cheese. Lunch, entrance tickets and the transfer between the two cities is included. You can also do this tour the other way around.
A full day tour would look something like this: 09:00 - 11:30 Walking tour of Delft, including visit of New Church 11:30 - 12:45 Visit of Royal Delft museum / factory 12:45 - 14:00 Lunch in Delft 14:00 - 14:30 Transfer to Gouda 14:30 - 16:00 Walking tour of Gouda 16:00 - 17:00 Cheese tasting and a drink in Gouda We could also do it the other way around.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
I can make sure that I have a car. That is easiest for getting to Royal Delft and from Delft to Gouda. We can also use a train instead.
Delft, South Holland, 2600 ME, Netherlands
I can meet you anywhere in Delft, or pick you up somewhere else. If you arrive by train, I would wait at the train station of Delft.
