Hallo! After graduating from TU Delft, I decided that I did not want to work as an engineer....

Join me on a fascinating tour through Delft and Rotterdam, two cities that offer a perfect blend of history and modernity. We'll begin in Rotterdam a vibrant, modern city that rose from the ashes of World War II. It is a city with bold architecture and a rich maritime heritage. From the iconic Cube Houses to the bustling port, Rotterdam’s energy contrasts sharply with Delft’s historic charm. Next, we’ll go back in time and head to Delft, known for its charming canals, Delft Blue pottery, Johannes Vermeer and the legacy of William of Orange. You’ll explore the beautifully preserved streets of this 17th-century city and learn about its role in Dutch history. Having guided many tours through both cities, I can ensure a unique and insightful experience, tailored to your interests. Whether it’s art, architecture, or history you’re after, we can customise the tour to make it unforgettable! As this is a longer tour, I suggest that we eat lunch together in Delft. You can trust me with that.
I can pick you up anywhere in the city center of Delft or Rotterdam. If we start Station Blaak in Rotterdam, the (incomplete) itinerary would be something like this: Rotterdam: - Blaak - Market Hall - Coolsingel with Town Hall - Laurence Church - Erasmus - Cubic House (They look strange. We will enter one) - Old Harbour - White House (Oldest sky scraper of Europe) - River Maas (We'll have a good view of Rotterdam's skyline here) Transfer to Delft Delft: - Markt square (With New Church, Town Hall and oldest chemist of the country) - Weighing House, Butter House and Meat Hall - House of Anthony van Leeuwenhoek - Old Church - Prinsenhof - Smallest museum of Delft - Water Board - Smallest house of Delft (It still costs € 500,000) - Orphanages - House of Jan Steen - Weapons Armoury - Dutch East India Company building - Old Synagogue - Cheese shop - House of Vermeer (The real one) - Beestenmarkt square (Perfect for beer and bitterballen)

We will get from Rotterdam city center to Delft by taking the train. This is the easiest and fastest way to do it (and how most Dutch people do it!). The ride takes 12 tot 15 minutes. If you want to, we can also arrange a car instead.
Blaak, Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, 3011 Netherlands
We will meet at Station Blaak in Rotterdam, above ground, in front of the shop 'Kiosk'. Alternatively, I can pick you up and start the tour at any other location in the center of Rotterdam or Delft. Just let me know!
