Hello everyone, It is a pleasure to introduce myself here. My name is Kevin and besides guiding I have many more fun hobbies. For example, I read a lot, especially historical novels, and I enjoy being in the kitchen and trying out recipes from various other countries. Once a year I also travel as a tour guide for a travel organization with mentally disabled people. This is always a great thing to do! After working as a rep, for more than 5 years, at several destinations in the world, I choosed to start guiding in Delft. I am a social guy and it is my hobby to work with tourists and tell them everything I know. Humor, practical information and facts are important during my tours. I am guiding now for more than 13 years. In those years I showed many tourists the beautiful city of Delft and the area around it. By the way: I have my official guiding certification! The area where I mainly guide is located around the cities of Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague. These cities have a lot to offer, but the surroundings are also beautiful. For a nice walk, but also for cycling. When I am free, I can always be found in this pleasant environment. On this website I have given some examples of possible tours. But there is so much possible! Overview of your Delft tour
Hidden between the major cities of Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague you will find a pearl. We call this region Midden Delfland. Here the cows graze at ease in the green grass. The farmers make the tastiest products from the fresh milk. Do you like fresh butter, yogurt, cheese and buttermilk? Cycling is a great pleasure in this green environment. There are many cycle paths, so everyone can enjoy the surroundings at their ease and you have less trouble with passing cars. If I want to go out in my spare time, I always choose this beautiful environment. It gives me peace of mind, I really enjoy nature in Midden Delfland. On the bike I am also doing well with my fitness. Two birds with one stone! My added value consists of making you aware of hidden treasures. There are hidden gems in every city and area, but only an expert can show you. This environment is less known to tourists. We will certainly meet other cycling people, mainly local residents, who also enjoy nature.
Your Delft tour itinerary
We set out and discover the Midden Delfland region. By bicycle, of course! -Cycle to a dairy company, where fresh milk is sold. Here I will give you an introduction about making Dutch cheese. Do you want to buy cheese for at home? No problem, cheese enough! -Cycle on to a unique museum. In a greenhouse, a local artist made mosaic sculptures and artwork. You have never seen anything like this before. The entrance to the Beeldenkas is included. -Cycle to the ancient village of Schipluiden, people lived here already before Christ. We take the time to have a look around the village. -The Netherlands is known for its many windmills. A few photos of these mills should of course not be missing. -The last stop is at a very small village, where only 36 people live. We stroll through the village and I will tell you about the unique church and we have a drink at the inn. -Cycle back to Delft.
