I have been a professional licensed tour guide since 2017 with a degree in history and archaeology from France. I've alway been passionate about history, because we need to know the past to understand the present. I was born on the Atlantic coast, and since I was a kid, I was fascinated by the ocean. While I was living in the Mexican Caribbean coast, I started to scuba dive, and I discovered a new world, the underwater world. I totally fell in love with this new environment, so I decided to follow the course of dive master to finally be certified as dive master in 2021. At that time I also started to study online Oceanography with the iberoamerican University and in 2022 I did a course of scientific diver with The latin american society of scientific diving to learn about coral restauration, and monitoring of marine organism. I think that is an emergency to preserve the marine ecosystems, so I decided to start a career as a marine biologist in La Paz. My goal is to have the tools to understand these amazing ecosystems and be able to share scientific information in a simple way. Born in France, but now I have the feeling that I belong in Mexico, after ten years of living in this amazing country. I started to guide in 2004, after getting a certification as an equestrian guide, and I worked in many countries such as Peru, Argentina, and Spain. I fell in love with Mexico for its extraordinarily caring and friendly people, its huge biodiversity, and his amazing culture. Did you know that in Mexico they still speak about 68 different languages or dialects? I love sharing with fellow travelers my passion for nature, history, and traditions. I used to live in many different part of Mexico as the caribbean coast, or San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato state and I finally decided to settle here in La Paz for the real peace of the place, the beautiful sunsets, the incredible History and of course this unique marine ecosystems of highest productivity and biological diversity. Baja California Sur is a very unique place in the world, as the famous french biologist Jacques Cousteau used to say that it is the aquarium of the world. We have the opportunity during winter to enjoy watching at least three different species of whale coming for reproduction and education purposes. Baja California coast offers different seasonal wildlife, such as whale watching and whale shark swimming during the winter, then, in the spring we have the migration of Mobula and sometimes some killer whales and the summer sharks migration as the emblematic hammerhead . So I would love to show you the area with the dual perspective of an historian and scientist to make you love this place as much as I do with a valuable information. Baja California Sur has so much to offer, it is a right balance between culture and nature, with a lot of museums, charming towns, national parks, beautiful marine land and desertical landscapes with oasis. This place also has a rich history from the prehistoric times to now, with rock paintings and other artifacts dating as far back as 10, 000 years ago that attest the human presence in most regions of the Baja Peninsula. Do you know that the first name of la Paz used to be Santa Cruz ? Founded in 1535, the main Hernan Cortes founded a little colony by the bay as he named it Santa Cruz. But the place was abandoned a few years later, for the resistance of the native inhabitants and rediscovered again in 1596 when they were given its final name, La Paz. I would love to take you around the city and surroundings, showing the best spots full of amazing landscapes, architecture, and history. My goal is to provide private tours as a tailor-made service, giving a fun and pertinent information to enjoy a unique experience during your stay in Baja California Sur. Feel free to contact me if you have any doubts, and I will be happy to help you to plan the most amazing trip. Experience Espíritu Santo Island on a comfortable private boat with direct pick-up at the cruise ship marina to save travel time. Our first stop is Gaviota Island to observe the blue-footed boobies before continuing toward the national park. From September to May, you’ll have the chance to snorkel with the playful sea lions at Los Islotes, the largest reproductive colony in the area. During June, July, and August—when swimming is forbidden in Los Islotes—we can snorkel instead at the small sea lion colony of San Rafaelito, only 10 minutes from the marina. Along the way, we visit San Gabriel Bay to admire the frigatebird colony and the historic remains of the first pearl farm in the Americas. After lunch on a pristine beach, we navigate back to the cruise-ship marina. As a dive instructor and marine naturalist, I’ll ensure safety and share insights about the wildlife and ecosystems of this UNESCO-protected area.
