Selamat Datang ke Kuala Lumpur. ! Get ready to be drenched under our hot and humid weather. :) I am Rose, a licensed English speaking Tourist Guide, fully endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia (MOTAC). Guiding and travelling is my passion, meeting new people and discovering new cultures and the best part of my job is when we exchanging information as I believe learning new things has no boundaries and I am prepared for some sharing and engaging experience. Malaysia is a wonderful country and I would love to show you around. Let's take a walk, get ready with your camera and have lots of fun. Apart from guiding, my time is very much occupied with my full time job and evening class for German Language. So I need to squeeze my time to hang out with friends, spending quality time with family and of course, try catching some sleep. I can be lazy at times. :) My life motto is always having fun and making your holiday is a memorable trip is my absolute goal. So, let's go for a little adventure, shall we? On this half day walking tour, let's take a walk and see where Kuala Lumpur got its name from. This comes from the intersection of the two rivers Gombak and Klang. These rivers were the major gateways to the city. In the 19th century the area where KL now lies was an important settlement for the tin-industry. At this time the city was tormented by disasters and adversity. Diseases, epidemics, fires and floods were at the order of the day. During this period people started to build stone houses instead of wooden. This was also the period in which the first railroad was constructed.
Let's meet at your Hotel lobby, we shall then proceed by public transportations : - Masjid Jamek - River of Life - Independence Square - Central Market - Sin Sze Si Ya Temple - Chinatown - Sri Mahamariamman Temple After lunch, let's make our way back to the hotel.
