Hi, I’m Tony Khong, a licensed tourist guide based in Kuala Lumpur. If you enjoy history, stories, and a bit of humour along the way—you’ll fit right in. I believe the best way to understand a place is not just to see it, but to hear the stories behind it (and sometimes the funny ones locals don’t usually tell!). With my background in teaching, I’m used to explaining things clearly and patiently, so you won’t feel overwhelmed. Whether you’re curious about Malaysia’s multicultural roots or just want a simple, enjoyable overview, I can adjust the depth and pace to suit you. I specialise in heritage and history experiences, helping you make sense of Malaysia’s unique mix of cultures—Malay, Chinese, Indian, and colonial influences—all woven into one city. My "tours" are relaxed, flexible, and fully personalised. Think of it less like a “tour” and more like exploring Kuala Lumpur with a knowledgeable local friend who can answer your questions (no matter how many!) Many of my guests are travellers who enjoy learning, asking questions, and exploring at a comfortable pace rather than rushing from place to place. All experiences are conducted in compliance with Malaysian tourism regulations and may be fulfilled in coordination with licensed tour operators where required. For tours that require transportation, we normally use e-hailing GRAB car (UBER) to move us around as and when required on our tour. You will pay directly for the usage. The cost of GRAB is variable depending on time of use and distance. Most guests are surprised at how affordable GRAB is in compared to their home city. However, if you prefer to have a private car, I can also assist you with it by contacting the local transport agents and you will pay for it directly. Cost depends on duration of use as well as the type of car - sedan, SUV, MPV etc.

This tour will take you to visit the National Elephant Sanctuary. Here you get to learn how a team of dedicated men and women go about their way to protect the Elephants by relocating them out of harms' way. Human intrusion into the forests for development needs have ravaged forests and turned them nto massive oil-palm plantations have brought havoc to the animals. The upkeep is costly so to raise money the Wildlife Rangers sell elephant food for you to purchase and give to the nurturing and orphan elephants Additionally visitors are given an option to pay a fee to bathe an elephant in the river stream. This activity allows guests a special life experience to bonding with an elephant under Ranger supervision. Enroute we shall visit the cavernous Batu Caves and the Hindu shrines. I have many stories to share so that you will come away enriched with the hindu traditions. Please check out my photos.
