As an individual, I am interested in most everything that is related to art, culture, history (both yours and mine!) and the human psyche. My friends call me quirky for the range of interest I engage in. I hike, backpack, juggle, read and do a range of stuff that catches my fancy =D I usually feel at my best when it comes to sharing and learning. I'm an avid traveller with experiences of travelling, working and living abroad in Asia, North and South America. Hoping to hit at the very least half of the 196 countries before I shuck off my mortal coils. As a guide, I have a deep passion for culture, present lifestyle as well as history both mine and yours (where ever it is that you hail from!) and if there is a place in Malaysia where I could specialize or recommend a visit, it would be my hometown - the (600 years!) historical city of Malacca where it all begins! While I specialized in Malacca, I am also available for heritage tours of Kuala Lumpur for it is I would say the birthplace of modern-day Malaysia particularly in terms of economics and governance. Please do inquire should you be interested to have me as your guide in other cities/ locations in Malaysia as each city is uniquely rich in their respective local flavour! I am an English language city guide accredited by the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism. A Bachelor of Psychology graduate who ran from the comforts of an MNC company to be a freelancer in tourism :) A member of the Kuala Lumpur tour guide association (KLTGA) which stipulates ongoing tourism knowledge training as a requirement for license renewal and an former docent at the National Museum. I have also been accepted into a scholarship program as part of a tourism exchange to study Spanish in Colombia for 4 months in 2016 of which I managed to extend my stay to realize a childhood dream of visiting Macchu Picchu and the Nazca lines in Peru.

Visit in a day the three unique sights of Kuala Lumpur Experience a ride on the local commuter into the countryside of KL. Climb the 272 steps to a natural limestone cavern of a Hindu temple alongside the wild long-tailed macaques. A keepsake photo with the 140 feet golden statue of Lord Murugan is a must! Visit the Independence Square (Dataran Merdeka) and it's stunning century-old Mughal Mohammedan buildings. l Learn of the lifestyle of the bygone eras and visit the KL city gallery with visuals of the past to aid imaginations! Take a break with an audio-visual presentation of the skyline of Kuala Lumpur in its scaled miniature form. A short ride on the LRT and we would emerge right where the world's tallest twin tower is. A not to be missed icon of KL and Malaysia. Marvel at its sheer height and its steel-glass beauty in architecture. Tour ends here and guests can relax in Suria KLCC, a mall built at the base of the tower

Melissa was perfect!!!
This was my second tour in KL with Melissa, equally as good as the first. She is well organized, cheerful with a genuine love of history, art, food and travel. Excellent English and willing to adjust to any special needs or interests on the fly. Definitely worth it and highly recommended.
Melissa is an excellent guide. She addressed all of our questions and provided interesting and useful information about the history, culture and language of Malaysia. I strongly recommend her as a tour guide.
Melissa gave us an interesting and comprehensive tour of the Batu Caves & Central KL (Merdaka Square, KLCC, Central Market/Chinatown). The tour was interesting and informative, and conversation ranged from spirituality of Eastern religions, through Colonial and Malaysian History and Politics and customs and habits of the Chinese community in Malaysia. Melissa was happy to go well over the allotted time and also chose an excellent spot for lunch that we would never have found ourselves. Highly recommended.
Excellent tour!
