Eiichi was very organized and followed the itinenary as previously arranged. He taught us some useful Japanese words and created a fun quiz to get us familiarized with Japanese culture. It was a nice introductory tour of Tokyo.

Hello. My name is Eiichi and my nick name is Eddy. So, please call me Eddy because Eiichi is difficult for visitors to pronounce. I am a "National government licensed guide interpreter" certified by Japanese government. I offer private tours around Tokyo and I am flexible and open to customizing your tours. I was born and live in Chiba prefecture, which is next to Tokyo and I have worked in Tokyo for more than 20 years. My hobby is ceramic art, golf, and Zen meditation, and I like traveling and reading history books. Based on these experience and knowledge, I will introduce Japanese culture and history. I used to work as an engineer for one of major electronic manufacturers which exports communication systems and components to overseas. Through the job, I visited many countries including New Zealand where I fortunately stayed for four years with my family. I have found it fun to communicate with people in other countries. So, after my recent retirement, I started to work as a guide interpreter. I'm looking forward to meeting visitors who are interested in Japanese beautiful nature, unique culture, variety of foods or history. - National government licensed guide interpreter (English) (Cert No. EN01121) -Domestic travel business handling manager (Cert No. 03-53-1626) - Authorized domestic tour conductor

He arrived early, assisted with luggage upon pick up and drop off at the airport, escorting us to the ticket desk. He was organized and we knew where we were going and how long we would be there. We had enough time to see the sights without rushing, able to absorb all the history he told us and enjoy the ambiance. He was friendly, respectful, helpful, and relaxed. It was clear that he enjoyed the sights, was extremely knowledgeable, and made a memorable experience for us. We would definitely contact Eddie again for another tour.
Our tour guide Eiichi Murayama came highly recommended by friends while staying in Tokyo in May. He created a custom agenda based on our interests and was very flexible accommodating last minute changes. We had concerns using public transportation, it worked out great, we used the subway, monorail and river boat, it was seamless, so impressed with how clean and quiet the subway is. The highlights were the fire ceremony at the Fukagawa Fudodo Temple and the Sumida river cruise. The Sensoji Temple and pagoda are iconic, a must see.
