Nikko World Heritage & Scenic Oku-Nikko Full-Day

Experience the best of Nikko in one day, from its historic World Heritage sites to the beautiful nature of Oku-Nikko. On this 6-hour private tour, we will travel by a chartered taxi, allowing us to comfortable explore both the world Heritage area and the scenic mountain roads beyond it. we will visit highlights such as Toshogu Shrine and ithe World Heritage sited, then travel along the winding Irohazaka Road to Kegon Falls and Kake Chuzenji. Depending on time and your interests, we can continue to Ryuzu Falls, Yutaki Falls, and Lake Yunoko. I will explain the history, culture, religion, and natural beauty of Nikko in a simple and easy-to understand way. If there are places you especially want to see, the itinerary can be adjusted to suit your interests. Please note: During busy seasons such as spring and autumn, taxis in Nikko can be difficult to arrange at short notice. For this reason, an early reservation is recommended, especially during autumn foliage and other peak travel periods.

We'll usually meet at JR Nikko Station, but if you 're coming from Tokyo on the Tobu Line, we can meet at Tobu Nikko Station. I will be waiting for you in front of the ticket gate with a sign that has your name on it. Also, if you're already staying in central Nikko, we can meet in the hotel lobby. Please note: During the peak autumn foliage season, traffic on the Irohazaka winding road can become extremely heavy, and it may sometimes take more than four hours just to travel up Irohazaka. In such case, I may recommend starting the tour early in the morning such as 7:00 am. If the traffic conditions are expected to make the planned itinerary impractical, I may also need to decline the tour.
