I was born and raised in Kyoto and have been working as a tour guide for four years. This tour combines the places that my guests have loved the most with some of my personal favorite spots. Discover Kyoto’s most iconic sights in one memorable day with a friendly local guide. This private tour offers a wonderful mix of history, culture, and beautiful scenery. We will visit Fushimi Inari Taisha, famous for its thousands of red torii gates, and explore the historic Gion district known for traditional wooden townhouses and geisha culture. You will also stroll through the charming streets of Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, two of Kyoto’s most picturesque areas. Along the way, we can stop for lunch at a local restaurant recommended by your guide and enjoy Japanese sweets such as matcha ice cream, cherry blossom ice cream, or traditional rice cakes. Let’s create unforgettable memories in Kyoto together.

Most of the tour will be done on foot. Depending on the locations we visit, we will mainly use trains for transportation. In some cases, such as when visiting Kinkaku-ji, when time is limited, when the group size is larger, or depending on guests’ preferences, we may also use a taxi.
