In this tour, we will cycle around the town of Otsu, the first post town from Kyoto on the Old Tokaido Highway. We will visit Mii-dera Temple, a national tresure site. The name "Mii-dera" comes from the well from which the ancient emperors took the water they used at the time of their birth. We will also visit Ishiyama-dera Temple via Old Tokaido Highway and Nagisa Park along the Lake Biwa. Let's explore the historical Town "Otsu" as if you were a pre-modern Japanese traveler.
