Hi I'm Kenji I have a national government license of tour guide interpreter in English. I was born and raised in Kyoto, an old capital of Japan over one thousand years. This tour offers the best collection of very popular tourist destinations in Nara, also best for first-time visitors. Nara is the ancient capital of Japan featuring many historical sites and relics in a serene atmosphere. Full of photogenic spots and beautiful natural sceneries in my tour I'm sure that you can take wonderful memorial shots. I will explain to you about our unique culture, history, religion, lifestyles, social concerns and so on. After my tour I'm sure you will understand some questions about Japan like why the Japanese believe multiple religions simultaneously, or why they often use chopsticks when eating, or why many of them are tend to be group-oriented etc. That's one of the merits of my tour in addition to explanations about each spot. We had a truly memorable day in Nara with Kenji. He could not have been more personable and knowledgeable about Todaiji and Horyugi, which were the two temples we were most interested in. He also gave the full historical context of both these temples and much additional information, without it being overwhelming. He was truly a pleasure to spend time with. I highly recommend him if you are planning to visit Nara.

Wonderful day out in Nara with Temples and deer. Had great lunch at place Kenji recommended. Our son had torn a muscle in his shoulder and Kenji helped find ice back and sling to help him get through the day. Kenjis English wasn't fluent but was adequate for what needed. He adapted our program to meet our needs.
Kenji was a wonderful tour guide. He was kind, patient and very informative. We enjoyed spending the day with him and exploring Nara. We felt that we would not have had the same experience had we tried to explore the area on our own. Highly recommend!!!
