Dear my guests, I am thrilled to be meeting with you and sharing the inspiring moments together. I am a Kyoto-born local guide and coordinator specialist in Kyoto. I have over 20 years of experience in guiding the guests and company executives to amazing moments. Mainly worked as a liaison for companies to connect people and companies. Born, raised and educated in Kyoto. I am living in Kyoto most of my life. I lived in Vail, Colorado in my high school days as an exchange student for an year. Graduated from the national Osaka university majoring language and started to work in Tokyo for companies as a bilingual assistant and coordination specialist. I also run a few art exhibitions yearly to exhibit my air pieces. I was taught by my father and a memory of my grandfather, both great artists in Kyoto painting. As one of the giving projects, I offer cultural events, introducing Kyoto style in quality, tradition and design, connecting everyone to the pleasure of artistic and deeper cultural scenes. It will be my honor to be sharing the inspiring moments with you. I am flexible in schedule the destination during your stay, so please feel free to let me know your preference and what you like to see and experience in Kyoto and surrounding cities. I try my best to find the possible best suggestions. In addition to visiting temples and shrines, there are many options including experiences of Japanese sweet-make, green tea, art studio, hands-on crafts! Please view some photos of the past tours and places to feel the real Kyoto experience. Mingling with the real local artisans or even business people will give you a special experience! A special day trip from Kyoto to the country side in Shiga where you will see Shirahige shrine and Lake Biwa, in addition to a beautiful scenery of the country side.
We just spent two wonderful days touring Kyoto and Nara with Ayumi! She is an excellent, very knowledgeable and professional tour guide. We enjoyed learning about the history and culture of Kyoto and Nara. Ayumi was very accommodating by tailoring the tour to include our interests. We highly recommend Ayumi. We would book her again on our next trip!
Ayumi is a delight to be with. She is sweet, personable, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable with impeccable English. She is the perfect guide for Kyoto as she lives in Kyoto and her ancestors have lived in Kyoto for countless generations. She chose great places for us to visit. We are in our early 70s from Los Angeles and are very active. So we walked a lot, around 20000 steps each day, in accordance with our wishes. We highly recommend her!

Ayumi is very friendly and professional, always following strictly your scheduled itinerary. Her English is fluent. Be aware that bad weather will probably create problems like in my family's case in Kyoto, left us with several important areas uncovered. Please make sure you consider this as a very important factor to make pertinent changes to your itinerary.
Ayumi was our wonderful guide in Kyoto for 2 days. She made everything so easy for us, taking trains and trams and taxis to see the best of Kyoto. We saw shrines, gardens, castles and temples. Ayumi gave us so many fabulous memories to take home. Nothing was too much troule. Her english is fluent and we can highly recommend her. We were so lucky to find such a brilliant guide, the best!
