Hi ! I'm Koichi. I was born in Osaka, I studied in Kyoto when I was a university student. Now I live in Shiga which is famous for the biggest lake in Japan. I am a national government licensed tour guide. I do this job as a freelance tour guide. I have been guiding about 160 groups over the past twelve months. I'm also a member of Kyoto City Bus & Subway Information Center. I usually guide my customers mainly in Kansai region including Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe and Shiga by public transportation systems. Well, I am curious about Japanese history, especially the history of Japan's ancient times since I was raised next to the world biggest mausoleum of the ancient Emperor called "Nintoku" in Sakai-city Osaka which has just become the one of world cultural heritage sites. I dug out some ancient earthen ware when I was a primary school student. I felt I was like the adventure archaeologist "Indiana Jones" (It's our secret!!). That was my hobby. Now, one of my hobbies is outdoor activity such as mountaineering, kayaking, skiing and so on. So I can also take you to some good places where you can enjoy Japanese unique nature. Walking along a scenic mountain stream between two World Heritage sites
Overview of your Kyoto tour
On this tour we will first visit Arashiyama area, one of the Kyoto's most famous tourist destinations, and Takao area which is famous for Jingoji temple and the World Heritage temple, Kosan-ji. After walking through the Arashiyama Tenryuji Temple and its Bamboo Grove, We will walk on a trekking route along the beautiful mountain stream called "Kin-un-kei" Gorge. Here, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist resort Arashiyama, you will find a beautiful valley that is like a different world. Let yourself be immersed in the charping of the birds beside a clear stream of water. After the hike, the final highlight, a World Heritage temple, Kosanji awaits. When we get back downtown, let's toast with some local beer to celebrate the completion of the hiking.
Your Kyoto tour itinerary

The moment you get out of the temple, you probably happen to realize that you are in the midst of Arasiyama Bamboo Grove 11:18 Tenryuji-mae Bus Stop 11:35 Kiyotaki Bus Stop (Start Trekking) *Duration of the trekking is about 2 to 3 hours) -Kin-rei-kyo Bridge -Dojiribashi Bridge -Koizumibashi Bridge (We Have "Bento" boxed lunch beside the river) -Kiyotakibashi Bridge (Finish Trekking) 14:35 Takao area *If you have time, let's visit Jingoji Temple, famous for beautiful maple trees, or Kosanji Temple world heritage site. 16:14 Togano-o Bus Stop 17:00 JR Kyoto Station or Downtown in Kyoto
