Do you know where the famous Mt. Fuji is in Japan? Geographically Mt. Fuji is just located on the border between Shizuoka and Yamanashi. Southern part belongs in Shizuoka and Northern part in Yamanashi. Interestingly the feature of Mt. Fuji is completely different as for view and attractions from two states. From Shizuoka, sunlight shines on the hillside of the mountain all the year. We can see its brightly iconic spectacles combined with the ocean, tea plantation or a bullet train. Whereas, from Yamanashi, snow covers on the top half of the mountain in winter and remains until early summer. Gorgeous natural beauty with Fuji Five Lakes and Aokigahara Sea of Trees. Why did I mention such a story? Honestly I was born in Shizuoka and now live in Yamanashi! That proves I know all about Mt. Fuji and its surrounding area. Hiking up to the top of Mt.Fuji on Fuji-Yoshida trail
Overview of your Fujikawaguchiko tour
Fuji-Yoshida trail is the most major route to the top from Yamanashi side. The trail begins at the 5th station of Fuji Subaru Line (2, 300m) and reaches to the summit (3, 715m) by 6 hours hike on average. Almost the trail is covered by volcanic sand, which is partly created on bumpy lava rock. However, it is well maintained to make hikers walk safely. We are going to start at the 5th station in the early morning around 5 o'clock and head for the summit at noon. After some rest, we will go down. The estimated arrival at the 5th station is 4 p.m. I have a license of the mountain trekking guide certificated by JMGA. The most important issue for mountaineering is safety management. All guiding activities strictly keep the guideline regulated by JMGA. My expert skills for performing in the case of emergencies including rescue methods promise your journeys safe. *This tour is operated from July 1 to Sep 10 (regulated as the official hiking period).
