Konnichiwa and greetings from the land of the Rising Sun!! My name is Mitsuru and I do guided tours in pretty regions of Japan, especially around Fuji - Hakone - Izu National Park + Nagano state + HOKKAIDO - please see my multiple day Hokkaido tour! Since the pandemic, I moved to Kanagawa, next to Tokyo, but I still do tours there. Especially for those who will take my tours out of the capital. My most popular tours are road trips, so travelers can enjoy special places, not covered by conventional tours or by public transportation. I would like to encourage you to support smaller Japanese destinations outside of the big cities (out of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka)! As a travel enthusiast, I ended up in the tourism world and I love guiding people. I lived in QLD, Australia when I was young and have been to many places inside and outside of Japan and sometimes I meet my clients in their hometowns overseas! :) PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE BOOKING ANY TOUR, as I might be in talks with others travellers for the same desired date. Japan is a long country with 47 states with different climates from Hokkaido in the north (my favorite) to subtropical Okinawa (my ancestors land) near Taiwan. I have also visited different Japanese regions with a motor home during the pandemic. Every region is unique and they differ a lot according to seasons. My favorites are: 1) Autumn (Oct-Dec) and 2) Spring (Mar-May). Summer (Jun-Aug) is the toughest due to high temperatures and humidity. Travels can change people.. I believe in a new tourism based on E's": Educational, Entertaining with respect to the Environment. I am looking forward to meeting you and show you some beautiful parts of Japan! :) PLEASE KINDLY NOTE: * Travel insurance is NOT included in any tour, please have one. * If you have any FOOD or MOBILITY restrictions pls advise me. * WALKING is well involved in the case of TOKYO (approx. 15-20K steps). THANK YOU for reading my profile, have a SAFE and HAPPY travels!

This is a full day tour around Mt. Fuji 5 Lakes (Kawaguchiko Lake area). A vast area and part of the so called Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. There are so many beautiful and interesting places to explore all around. Hiking trails, forests, scenic views, outdoors activities (picnic, kayaking in the summer), gardens etc. A stop for lunch OR picnic is INCLUDED.

Mitsuru was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the Hakone and Mt. Fuji region. He took us to the best spots to view Mt. Fuji that were not overfilled with tourists and knew about local spots to take us to to try the local foods and drinks. 100% I would recommend Mitsuru to friends and family and strangers to guide you around.
Mitsuru was very easy to work with in arranging the tour. He gave helpful tips on logistics from Tokyo which was helpful in planning a full day. Upon arrival, he had bottled waters for us and met us at the station. And his car was spacious and clean. We then went on a short hike and he had prepared a selection of snacks and drinks for us at the waterfall. At each stop, if it was too crowded / he would either let us out and meet up with us later or would suggest another stop. His communication and enthusiasm for the day was great. He suggested good photo shots too. Having a driver/guide was definitely worth the money. Our daughter said it was her favorite day of our trip! Post trip / he sent a nice collage of photos and a thank you.
We had an amazing day with Mitsuru! We were able to go to a lot of hidden gems since he has a car. He took us to Saiko Lake where we took a short hike in Aokigahara forest, Iyashi no Sato- small village/museum. We stopped for lunch for hoto noodles- delicious! We made stops at Shoji Lake, Motosu Lake, and Koyodai Observatory. Mitsuru knows the area well and made great suggestions. Our last stop was Chureito Pagoda at my request at sunset. It was very busy but that was expected- all of the spots Mitsuru recommended were beautiful and not packed. Thanks Mitsuru for a truly once in a lifetime experience!
Mitsuru is kind and enthusiastic. He was able to provide a private vehicle for the day which made getting around easy. We had a great day in Hakone. He took us to some of his favourite places which we truly enjoyed especially the tea house and delicious gyoza lunch. We were not to sure about the Black Eggs, but they were delicious. Mitsuru met our challenge of seeing Mt Fuji on an overcast day, it was amazing. He was able to fit in some tourist sights and driving through diverse landscapes. We would highly recommend him.
Mitsuru was knowledgeable and and quick to rearrange our schedule due to weather complications. We were all very pleased!
One may need 1~3 days to really experience the Fuji 5 lake's main sites. If you have only one day, pictures shown in this tour are examples of the Fuji Five Lakes area in 4 different seasons. These sites are my recommendations for an enjoyable 1 full day in the area. You can request the typical popular, busy sites: Oshino Hakkai, Chureito Pagoda, Oishi Park, Kawaguchiko ropeway etc if you prefer.
