**Please check my calendar for availability before inquiring** Greeting from the land of Mt. Fuji, Japan! My name is Moto, a nationally certificated English-speaking guide. Do you know where the famous Mt. Fuji is in Japan? Geographically Mt. Fuji is just located on the border between Shizuoka and Yamanashi. Southern part belongs in Shizuoka and Northern part in Yamanashi. Interestingly the feature of Mt. Fuji is completely different as for view and attractions from two states. From Shizuoka, sunlight shines on the hillside of the mountain all the year. We can see its brightly iconic spectacles combined with the ocean, tea plantation or a bullet train. Whereas, from Yamanashi, snow covers on the top half of the mountain in winter and remains until early summer. Gorgeous natural beauty with Fuji Five Lakes and Aokigahara Sea of Trees. Why did I mention such a story? Honestly I was born in Shizuoka and now live in Yamanashi! That proves I know all about Mt. Fuji and its surrounding area. Nature, culture, history, food, people. . . including local charms that guidebooks never show. I do guarantee you will be satisfied with my tour tailored as you like! Hope to hear from you soon! Ex. I have a license of mountain trekking guide. Planning from one day's short hike to overnight expedition in Mt. Fuji and Southern Alps mountains is available. Ask for details. National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (English) Japan Mountain Guide Association Trekking Guide (Stage I) I am not a driver/guide and that transportation will be arranged and charged separately.

Overview of your Fujikawaguchiko tour

The Fuji Five Lakes and the Aokigahara Forest are fascinating natural wonders created by Mt. Fuji. They remain untouched in nature sceneries. They are on the north side of the mountain, in Nation Park of Japan, and are only 2 hours away from Tokyo. It is the ideal place to purify mind and body in the tranquility of nature. We can also arrange other sightseeing spots including Arakurayama Sengen Shrine, Ashikawa Village, Ide Sake Brewery. . etc. up to your requests.

We had an amazing day exploring Mount Fuji and hiking through the Aokigahara Forest with Motoyuki. The caves were absolutely incredible—such a unique and unforgettable experience with so much to see. Motoyuki shared a wealth of knowledge throughout the tour, making everything even more meaningful and interesting. He was also very flexible with the meeting point, which made the day smooth and stress-free. Beyond being a fantastic guide, he created a great sense of connection. Highly recommend this tour—truly a memorable experience!

Thanks Moto, we very much enjoyed our day with you. It was great to escape the bustling tourist towns and get out into nature. We are grateful that you came up with awesome activity options that suited the weather and showed us sights that were well off the usual path. The Aokigahara Forest was as magical a place as we had hoped, and the Shiraito waterfalls and the Asagiri Food Park were rare treats! Very pleased!

Can we offer a 6-star review? Visiting the Five Lakes area near Mt. Fuji with Moto-San was the highlight of our 30 day journey to Japan. It was really special to connect with a guide who is FROM this area and has a background in the geological uniqueness of this region. He offered clear & thoughtful communication in advance of our meeting, offered very helpful logistical information for our meeting spot & even made extra efforts to ensure we had a comfortable journey back to Tokyo! Above & beyond service and warmth! Luckily, our day was clear with outstanding views of Mt. Fuji! We saw so much more w Moto San than we could on our own & had a much better time doing so with his valuable insights. He offered a tasty lunch recommendation & left time to feel the wonder of this natural area! If you wish to maximize your experience with a Professional Licensed local guide, book with Moto!

My friends and I had such a wonderful experience on our tour with Moto. He is incredibly welcoming and informative. He took us to such lovely and serene locations, for us to get the best view of Fuji. He also took us to an amazing little bakery by the train, for snacks before our tour. If you can get your hands on their choclate dusted mochi, we HIGHLY recommend. We were in absolute awe of the magic of mt Fuji. We feel so lucky to have been there on the most perfectly clear day. They say it’s only visible for roughly 80 days a year and we got one of those perfect days! How lucky are we?! We also went to the forest where all the vegetation grows from the lava rocks. That was another stunning site to see. We very much enjoyed his tour and will be sending our friends on their future trips. Thank you, Moto!

Moto-san is an excellent tour guide who makes an extra effort to visit unexpected places including a place for a delicious lunch. Moto-san is very knowledgeable about the area. He also ensured we made it to our departure, including collecting our luggage from our Ryokan!! 😊

A perfect day. Moto is upbeat, knowledgeable, very considerate and knows the Fuji area very well. He grew up nearby. Great suggestions; he gave us choices. He took us to areas with few tourists. He went out of his way. Mt Fuji cooperated and we got the most incredible photos, shooting it from all sides thanks to Moto. Also forest bathing, waterfalls, a Shinto temple, sake tasting, an ice cave, beautiful museum, best sembei we've ever had, and dropping us at our hotel. Highly recommended.
