Hello, I'm Yumiko, a nationally licensed English-speaking tour guide. I was born and live in Yamanashi Prefecture, which is next to Tokyo and the home of Mt. Fuji. Yamanashi Prefecture is also famous for the largest amounts of produce of grapes and peaches in Japan. I love Mt. Fuji, grapes and peaches!! I look at and look up to Mt. Fuji every day. Mt. Fuji area is full of nature, beauty and history, and has a lot of places you must visit. Mt. Fuji was registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 2013, which is officially named "Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration". The inscribed property consists of 25 sites which reflect the essence of Mt. Fuji's sacred and artistic landscape. In addition to these sites, there are many nice view spots, interesting museums, leisure facilities, and off-beaten spots in Mt. Fuji area. There are a lot of ways to enjoy yourself. Exploring the Aokigahara Forest and having a relaxing time at Lake Kawaguchiko is one of my favorite tours. Visiting Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine always gives me spiritual energy because of its sacred atmosphere. Cycling at Lake Kawaguchiko or Lake Yamanakako refreshes me. The view of Mt. Fuji from Arakurayama Sengen Park (Chureito Pagoda) is getting popular and famous. From the Fuji Five Lakes, you can enjoy the magnificent views of Mt. Fuji with the lake. From spring through autumn, you can go up to the 5th station by bus or taxi. If you would like to visit some off-beaten spots, I will be pleased to take you to my special places. I am also familiar with good restaurants and cafes in the area. I myself love to travel around the world, learn different cultures, find something interesting, eat local good food, and have wonderful experiences. So, I would really like you to fully enjoy your travel in Mt. Fuji area. I am ready to guide you around Mt. Fuji as your personal tour guide with cheerful and open mind. I will make your private tour enjoyable and memorable. Please feel free to send me an email. I look forward to your inquiry. Overview of your Fujikawaguchiko tour

Welcome to Mt. Fuji! Aokigahara Forest is the primeval forest which has been growing on a large quantity of lava flow that flew out of the parasitic volcano on Mt. Fuji. The forest is full of the beauty and mystery of nature. Walking in the Forest to explore lava caves is such a nice and unforgettable experience for you!! How about exploring the Ice Cave and Wind Cave? You can walk in the Aokigahara forest and explore the mysterious underground world with a local guide without getting lost. In the afternoon, you will go to Lake Kawaguchiko, which is one of the Fuji Five Lakes called "Fujigoko". I would like to take you to a nice local restaurant located on the lakeside. At the end of the tour, let's visit Oishi Park, where you will enjoy the splendid views of Mt. Fuji. It is also a good idea to have a tea break or to look for nice souvenir at "Hana Terrace".

We were lucky to have found Yumiko when we did! Our tour was very laid back, fun, and informative. She was passionate, knowledgeable and shared information in a fun, natural way. She was adaptable and was able to quickly come up with an alternative option when one of the caves we were supposed to visit was closed due to repair. She was kind enough to expose us to her local favorite foods- absolutely delicious!! And as a bonus she knew all the best places to take pictures that were uncrowded, and helped us communicate at the train station. Best way to close out our Japan trip!

This tour was a great way to experience the Aokigahara forest, the surrounding lakes, and local shops. Our tour guide Yumiko was an amazing guide. She took the time to explain the history, culture, and geography of what we saw. We learned a lot on this tour. She was very kind and helpful. I would recommend her for anyone wanting a full experience.

We had a very positive experience with Yumiko san for our tour. For an additional fee, she brought us around in her own vehicle when we expressed some apprehension over the crowds and wait times for the public transport. It turned out to be a very comfortable and educational tour. Yumiko san spoke fluent English and gave us detailed explanations for various sights along the way, also making recommendations for what souvenirs and fruits to buy (all spot on!). When the Wind Cave was closed for maintenance, she brought us to the Dragon Cave by way of replacement. Along the way, she kept things flexible and sought our opinion on what we would like to do. We saw beautiful autumn leaves and also took a pleasure boat ride on Lake Kawaguchiko. All in, we had a great time with Yumiko san and consider the tour well worth it!

Yumiko was a fantastic guide and was very knowledgable. We learnt so much from our trip. We went to the best restaurant where she helped us navigate our dietary requirements. She was flexible and adjusted the tour to our interests which was appreciated. We had such a good time and loved Yumiko's sense of humour. Lots of laughs. Highly recommend and if we have the chance again, we will have no hesitation in contacting Yumiko again.

Yumiko is fantastic! We very much enjoyed our day with her. She is enthusiastic, knowledgable and fun to be with! She was so sweet to our whole family and taught us a lot about this part of Japan which she clearly loves dearly. Yumiko is an outdoor and nature enthusiast and her love of the land inspired us. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to the area.
