Mt. Fuji Private Highlight Tour

My 16 yo son and I had a wonderful day with Yumiko. She picked us up at the train station, and we used her private car. First was driving up to the 5th station, with a stop along the way for being on the slopes as well. At the 5th station we had Mt. Fuji Melon Bread, and Yumiko took us to the Shinto shrine, with some explanation of the tenets. After was lunch at a local restaurant for the regional specialty noodles, Hoto. Next, a tour of the Ice Cave. Then to Lake Kawaguchiko and to Oishi Park & Hana Terrace for the gardens, shopping, and interesting soft serve ice cream. After, another Shinto shrine. Along the way, she gave a running commentary and instruction in what we were seeing, as well as Japanese customs, traditions, basic phrases, and discussion of Shinto and Buddhism. I highly recommend Yumiko for anyone interested in the Fuji area.

The Mt Fuji and the Lakes Private Tour (7 hours) was very well customised by our tour guide Matsui Yumiko. Matsui Yumiko is a fountain of the area knowledge, her communications skills, ability to adapt to our needs and delivery was excellent. She is very passionate about what she does, demonstrated true asian hospitality.

My wife and I used Yumiko to tour the Mt Fuji area. Yumiko is amazing! She is personable, knowledgeable and extremely well prepared. Her communication skills via e-mail and oral are excellent. Yumiko is flexible and high energy. She assisted in preparing our itinerary which was helpful and on point. I would highly recommend using Yumiko if she is available.

Had fantastic all day private tour with Yumiko and my daughter. She customized the day trip after I had selected one of her other trips. She asked what we wanted to do, and she put it together. She knows secret spots that were amazing. She is full of knowledge and enjoys teaching us about Japan culture and food. We saw lakes, Cherry blossoms, shrines, ancient towns, 1200 year old trees, and many other memorable sites. Highest recommendation for Yumiko. I could not have found these sites without her. You need a local guide when in Hakone area. We will find her again when we return to Japan!! She can make any trip amazing. She is kind and patient and took lots of pictures for us.

We had a wonderful day visiting the Mt. Fuji / Lake Kawaguchi area with Yumiko. She was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the region. What we appreciated most was her flexibility — she was happy to take us to the places we wanted to see, even when some of them were in the opposite direction of the original route. She really tried her best to make sure our family had the experience we hoped for. Thanks to Yumiko, we were able to enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Fuji and explore the Lake Kawaguchi area comfortably without worrying about transportation or planning. It was a very pleasant and memorable tour. We highly recommend Yumiko to anyone visiting the Fuji area!
