These are the highlights of the region, but what about discovering the places off the beaten tracks? With this tour, we'll discover some shops and workshops where you can find authentic hand-made items and meet the artisans and artists that make them! While we visit these shops, we'll also be able to enjoy the charm of the ancient streets of the towns and/or a relaxing boat tour on the lake!
Your Stresa tour itinerary
I'll meet you in your hotel in Stresa, Baveno or Pallanza and from there we'll start our tour! The tour will last 3 hours. We'll use different types of transport, depending on the tour you'll choose: - a comfortable private motorboat with driver - a private car with driver - public bus or train - public ferry I'd like to know more about you and your expectations, to customise the perfect tour and choice of shops. We may visit the workshop of a painter on Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen Island), or the shop of an artisan in Pallanza, or an atelier in Meina... or find shops and boutiques in Arona or Intra - these are towns where the locals shop! We'll also find pastry and geato shops! We'll take advantage of visiting the old towns of: - Arona, a lovely town on the south end of Lago Maggiore - Intra, a section of Verbania - the village on Isola dei Pescatori (the Fishermen's Island) with the church and the cozy museum of the fishermen.
