What do you think is necessary to be a guide? Experience? License? Knowledge? Of course, they are more than important. I have been working as a tour guide for more than 25 years and I still think that Passion and Love are fundamental in this work. Without Passion and Love is not possible to explain anything. I consider myself very lucky because I still have the passion and the enthusiasm I had when I started this job and I am still surprised by the Beauty that surrounds me in all the Cities where I work: Venice, Verona, Vicenza, Padua, Treviso, Rovigo, and by the perfect and harmonic Architecture of all the Palladian and Venetian Villas. . . I think that a good guide has to love her land first. I am a curious traveller, I read a lot, I like music and I play the Celtic Harp, an instrument with an unbelievable power to heal me when something goes wrong and I feel down. When I do not work, I like travelling with my kids to find other treasures in Italy and in the World. The tours in my list are only basic tours and can be all customized according to your interests, requests and needs. If you have been already in the Veneto Region, do not be afraid to visit it again . . . . I can help you to discover new unexpected treasures . Choose an area that you would like to visit and contact me: I will customize your tour and give you the best solution. I work with professional drivers who can accompany us during the tour into different areas of the Veneto, villages and towns of good wine and food, and in the Venetian countryside not far from big cities in which it is possible to spend a different and amusing day, enjoying Arts and Crafts, Nature, local Cuisine and much more. My tours usually include everything and I can provide you with all information you may need about time, sites to visit, restaurants, museums, etc. A tour with me is a real occasion to discover the Region in a different way, not only because I am an experienced and professional guide, but also and above all, I work with passion and love for my land. I know the territory, even the smallest hidden treasures, and I know how to avoid the crowds, lines and noise. I also know how to make a tour extraordinary and memorable. It will be your personal, unique tour…and you will have another reason to come back to visit my Region. You have just to join me in this extraordinary visit of well known places and hidden treasures. Choose one or more tours from my list and contact me: it can be transformed into your new exclusive experience of Italy. Graduate of Ca'Foscari University, Venice. Degree in Japanese Culture and Literature. Licensed guide for Vicenza, Verona, Venice, Padua, Treviso, Rovigo and Palladian Villas. National guide (guide of Italy). Expertise is in Paintings, Palladian Architecture, Modern Art and Gardens. Proficiency certification for English. Seminary on the History of Padua with specific Qualification for the University of Padua. Seminary on Russian Icons. Author of articles about Japan and Japanese Culture, Palladian buildings, novels and poems. No restrictions

Overview of your Padua tour

The University of Padua was founded in 1222 and it is considered the second oldest University in Italy. Inside the ancient Palazzo del Bo (the Palace built in the 16th Century) it is still possible to visit the Historical Courtyard full of crests from students and rectors, the Aula Magna and the Room of Medicine. In the Room of the Fourty renowned Students it is well displayed the famous desk of Galileo Galilei who lived and taught in Padua for over 18 years. The most exciting part of this tour is the Anatomical Theater, designed by Girolamo Fabrici d'Acquapendente in 1595 and considered one of the most beautifully preserved Theaters for body dissection in the World. This tour is a great chance to meet a graduate (me, your guide) from this area and live the experience of Centuries of Culture and Knowledge.

One of the best tour guides we have ever had in the last 30 years of touring. If you are in Padua, you should book Deborah. If you have any interest in the turning point to modern science and modern medicine, book this exact tour. Gem of an experience and knowledge.

Deborah is a gifted guide and warm ambassador of her country. We learned so much walking around with her. She took the time to explain history and politics. She was very fun and knowledgeable. And she was patient with us, as one of us had been in transit for nearly 20 hours prior to the start of the tour. The time at the University of Padua was fascinating. The walking tour that followed was interesting and informative. This is a great way to spend a few yours during your time in this city!

Deborah is honest, funny, and knowledgeable. She beautifully described what was going on in the Scrovegni Chapel in the time allotted (20 min)…this sounds like it would merit a shoulder shrug but it was amazing. Her joy of and passion for the art draws you in and compels you to see other pieces. Excellent. Also, her communication from the start was exceptional.
