From Giotto to Mantegna: Artistic Voyage in Padua - Private Skip the Line Tour

Join me as we delve into Padua's rich artistic heritage to marvel at the masterpieces of 3 iconic artists from the Gothic to the Renaissance: Giotto di Bondone, Guariento D’Arpo & Andrea Mantegna. We'll do so by exploring 2 of Padua's most magnificent treasures. One of them, the Scrovegni Chapel, is where we'll enter to be enchanted by Giotto’s frescoes. Let's immerse ourselves in the vivid colours & intricate details that bring the Gospel's scenes to life! The other, the Church of the Hermits, presents exceptional works of Guariento and Mantegna, whose unparalleled mastery of perspective & storytelling will captivate you. In addition to this, we'll wander through the medieval heart of the city together, where the vibrant atmosphere of historic markets fills the air. As we stroll through Padua's city centre, we'll take in the stunning architecture of Palazzo della Ragione and explore the medieval food market, where the charm of the 14th century atmosphere still thrives.

-Once we've gathered, we'll proceed to enter Scrovegni Chapel. -After visiting the chapel, we'll walk back to the Eremitani museum and visit its medieval section. -We'll then pass by the Church of the Heremits. -Afterwards, we'll reach Palazzo della Ragione. -After walking across a few medieval squares, we'll end the tour by exploring a local food market. NOTE: In the museums, in the archaeological sites generally in all churches, dress code for both men and women requires shoulders & knees to be covered. Shorts & skirts are fine, but below the knees. Also do not bring large items (e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they are not permitted.
